๐ŸŽต Monthly Song Challenge ๐ŸŽต

I'm so sorry guys... I think you misunderstood the prompt. These are songs you don't want to listen to. Not: A song where you turn up the volume when it is on.
No I posted that song correctly. Its the most pretentious irritating song of all time. I've hated it for years . If I never hear it again, I'll be happy

100%! Agree. Oh cool hate well crafted Guitar driven songs with vocal harmonies. Nice! Maybe 1% of musicians could right something fucking timeless.

Especially Oasis Beatles and Righteous Brothers.

Jesus Christ people hate good music. There is so much shit music out there. Go after Nu Metal Boy bands and Mumble rap.

The Righteous Brothers are pretentious? Dude you would not know if it kicked you in your baby nuts.

Day 25: A song that you skip or change the station when it comes on
I can go a lot of places with us, cause I hate just about everything on popular radio.

And I could pretty much do without ever hearing Radiohead, or Coldplay ever again. Add a jigger of oasis (do like some of their songs), most of the shit on the nu metal station, another shot of Bad Companyโ€ฆ and Styx.!

But the song that makes me wanna poke my eyes out the most.

Hate this band and this song.

To each their own I guess๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
No. No it is not. Itโ€™s the goddamn Righteous Brothers. The song was recorded in 1965. Next time the song comes on listen to it closely. How difficult would that song been to record for Phil Spector almost 60 years ago? The fucking Wurlitzer piano alone is better than anything on the radio in decades. I think that song has been recorded by close to 100 other artist because it is goddamn mother fucking perfection and everyone who knows dick about music realizes this.

Yeah but it was used so perfectly in Sopranos final.

Hold on to that feeling...

Whatever. You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine.๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
Not gonna argue about this anymore.

"American Idiot," Green Day.

Well, anything by Green Day. Green Day have never written a single compelling song with anything close to an original melody or hook. Everything is borrowed from someone better. They are cookie-cutter music at its most commercial while claiming to be the opposite. Lyrically they are incredibly shallow with a feigned punk and protest ethic. This song is a perfect example of that.

I hated listening to enough of this song to get the link. This is how much I love this thread and all of you.

(And now I am listening to Dead Moon).

Warning was the last album I listened to, and from that point forward, you are correct. This song in particular killed my love for the band.

Kerplunk and Insomniac are their best albums. Nimrod has a lot of good tracks, but if I never hear Good Riddance ever again, I won't be sad.

Family Guy destroyed this song. I started hearing all the time after the episode where Peter and the gang did it for karaoke.

I wonโ€™t even post the videoโ€ฆ โ€œSweet Carolineโ€ by Neil Diamond. For that matter, anything performed by Neil Diamond. Great songwriter, sure, but I honestly canโ€™t stand listening to him.

If any station played Barry Manilow songs itโ€™d be a toss up.

Sorry, Neil and Barry fans!
