Amen to this. The ethnicity of various characters in my stories is a character detail, yes, but it's not something I personally hype. I also tend to avoid stories with ethnicity supremacy depicted positively. This should not be done in in real life or in art.

A commonly used trope that I don’t mind, and use myself frequently, is female ejaculation marking orgasm. It’s not reality (at least as I know it) but I think it does an OK job for standing in for more intense and complex feelings that are harder to convey in written form.

I also write facials quite frequently. It’s an almost totemic marking ritual. Not something I often do IRL. Why lose the closeness and intimacy of fellatio at the critical juncture? But - at the end of the day - we are writing porn and there is a language.

I'm probably pretty guilty of my female characters "gushing" a lot during orgasms.

I tend to see it as poetic license mixed with the usual erotica exaggeration.

Women do self lubricate during sex. How much varies from woman to woman obviously. But many produce more during orgasm. Maybe not the "rivers" or "streams" or "puddles" we writers like to refer to. But again some exaggeration is fine and gets the point across.

"Squirting" can definitely be a more than over the top trope, especially when she's blasting streams like a fire hose.

We like to exaggerate our male ejaculation, too. They don't just cum, they "explode," "launch large ropes of spunk," "blast her face, covering her all over" etc.

The truth is the average male ejaculates 1/4 to 1 full teaspoon.
