Seattle to Pay Black Lives Matter Rioters $10 Million in Lawsuit Related to George Floyd Riots​

The city of Seattle will pay Black Lives Matter rioters $10 million in a settlement stemming from a lawsuit related to the George Floyd riots in 2020.

“This decision was the best financial decision for the City considering risk, cost, and insurance,” said City Attorney Davison, according to Fox News. “The case has been a significant drain on the time and resources of the City and would have continued to be so through an estimated three-month trial that was scheduled to begin in May.”

“This settlement resolves the majority of the remaining claims arising out of the 2020 demonstration period and is a big step toward allowing the City to focus on the important work of today, while moving forward from events four years ago,” Davison added.

Among the 50 plaintiffs were a woman who had a heart attack when she was struck in the chest by an SPD blast ball, a man who was hospitalized in a coma after his arrest and a veteran who uses a cane and was “gassed and tackled because he didn’t retreat fast enough,” according to the attorneys.

Others included a teenager whose finger was partially blown off by a blast ball and “dozens of others who suffered permanent hearing loss, broken bones, concussion, wounds, bruising and emotional damage” at the hands of Seattle officers, the plaintiffs’ lawyers said

I honestly forgot about those unmarked vans and had mostly chalked it up as BS that probably didn't happen. That said bad actors posing as BLM? If you're willing to be put in a coma, or get fingers blown off just for a cut of ten million split 50 ways? Dude there are safer ways to get what is that? 20k? Are you NUTS? If all I'm getting is 20k I will personally challenge the current UFC champion to a tap or snap match. Sure I won't walk right or maybe I lose my jerking hand but. . . wait that won't even cover my medical bills most likely. I'll swim with sharks without a cage. I've done enough research on great whites to know I'm either dead almost instantly or it just looks at me like I'm some moron and leaves me alone OR I get 20k.

You have to be a special kind of stupid to think THIS would cause BLM to wake back up. Now I wish they hadn't been so quiet the last few years because this is an ongoing problem and should be treated as such. If the right time to talk about mass shootings isn't right after (usually) a school shooting then it is 24/7/365. There is no wrong time to bring up we have a problem. The same MUST go for cop on black, but also cop on American Violence. This should be one of the top issues every single fucking year. Like treat it like we treat the border only we care all the time not just when a Democrat is in office no matter how many people they are deporting in which case both Obama and Biden outstrip their predecessors by a fair margin within mostly similar circumstances.

The problem here is that the Right Wing is solely motivated by money and don't really believe in anything. They have no souls that reach any deeper than rage and despair and that's a bad combo. So they think the only reason that there were protests literally across the globe standing in solidarity with BLM and turns out the entire country, much less the world didn't catch fire doesn't make a lick of sense to lickspittles like that. The rest of us know what its like to stand for a cause. Especially a cause that directly or indirectly has affected you and your family.
