You’re highlighting the issue that, had I not agreed with wat, is what I would take issue with: George Floyd had a wrap sheet that people readily bring up to condemn him in the 8 minutes and 46 seconds that Chauvin had his knee on his neck. I feel I really need to emphasize that: 8 minutes and 46 seconds.
Derek Chauvin had a wrap sheet as well, but gets a pass in his recorded history of being continually reprimanded for being terrible at his job. IMO those excruciating minutes defined exactly the kind of officer Chauvin was than the criminal George Floyd is painted out to be.
In this specific case the only RAP sheet (Record of Arrests and Prosecutions) that matters i Derek's. Derek had a record for this kind of violence and should be looked into for a pattern. Unless Derek specifically knew George Floyd before their interaction absolutely nothing George did in his entire life is relevant to the conversation. If for the sake of argument some old Arab man keys my car and I beat him to death finding out a a month, a week, a day a fucking minute after I cancel his subscription to a pulse that he's actually Osama Bin Ladin I'm still the villain of the story. That's how this works.
Yes I looked it up because I was pretty sure it was 'rap' not 'wrap' but I wasn't certain why. So I'm not correcting you in a "ha ha this dummy" way more in a "The more you know!" sort of way
