Day 23 A song from the 80’s

Man this prompt has been giving me anxiety all week! How do I chose? Theres too much! KROQ was playing in the background like 43.2% of the time I was alive in the 80’s!

So anyway I’m choosing this, because I was 12 and very deep and it says Parthenogenesis

And because years later it came up on shuffle on my son who was like 7 or 8 at the time piped up from the backseat “This sounds like my nightmares” wrecking me so thoroughly I’ve never played it in front of my children since.

You first paragraph gave me so much hope and I was so excited to see what you chose.
It's not a bad song but this magical decade of music and you go there?

Oh, how I love that song. It made me look up "parthenogenesis."

Day 23: A song from the 80s

I have been dreading this one. Way too many options. Metallica. Iron Maiden. New Order. Van Halen. U2, especially early U2. Cyndi Lauper. Big Daddy Kane. Beasties. George Clinton. PE. Prince. (Prince alone caused me to break down.) Grand Master Flash. Black Flag. Idle Threat. Adam and the Ants. Adam Ant. Bruce Springsteen. Motörhead. Psychedelic Furs. English Beat. Elvis Costello. The Replacements. Yaz. Blondie. GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

I almost went with Total Eclipse of the Heart, but I flipped a coin, and the original version of "Elegia" won.
I'm going to go take an aspirin and a hot shower now.

From the 80's

I am shocked and appalled that Billy Idol has yet to be chosen. Not that I can't find anything from Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dead Kennedys, or anything that inspired the next decade, but at some point this gets stuck in your head😂
