...at another shutdown. Why haven't Congress worked on the budget since they kicked it down the road months ago? Since all budgetary things originate in the House, it has little to do with the Senate. I think even Mitch is getting twitch about it. There isn't any reason for it. I remember a while back someone said that the Biden hearings were taking up all the time. The defense was that Congress could do more than one thing at a time. So why didn't they? And it's not like the bad old Dems were holding up the works. They have no control over what bills are written and moved out of committee or come up for a vote on the floor. The majority party does, the Republicans do. Someone please explain to me why we didn't have a budgetary bill working its way through the House weeks ago. And no, "because the Senate wouldn't pass it anyway" isn't an excuse. It's a copout.
