Colorado Will Not Be Allowed To Deny Trump Access To Their Presidential Ballot

Funny thing ... Trump was one of the leading "BIRTHERS" who claimed that Barak Obama was not born in the united states and tried to keep him off the ballot in every state! So typically, it is OK when Republicans do it but horribly unconstitutional when Democrats do it!

I strongly suspect this is just a test case for removing Trump off ballots. Once they go through the first test run of this, they'll have a much better picture how to do it later on.

The goal is to get Trump off the ballots just before the election, and afterwards regardless whether it was legal or considered election interference, the election will be over.
Yeah, but then again you're an idiot.

I am thankful that Colorado has acted so boldly and set such an excellent precedent.

Now, the deep red states can take the leading Democrats off of their ballots.

Kudos to the Left for uniting us on such a great idea.

Also, you don't need trials and convictions.

We can DEEM Biden guilty
of bribery and deny
him reelection.

Win-Win!

Biden didn’t try to overthrow the government.

Well said, I wished I would have wrote that, that’s spot on. Problem is republicans don’t behave that way. Republicans believe in the constitution, equal application of the law as well as equal protection under the law. Dems destroying democracy to protect democracy; WHO KNEW!!

You're never allowed to talk about how our justice system works ever again.

Anderson v Griswold was brought by Republicans who believe in the Constitution, so you are correct there.

It would be nice if Congress would get off its ass and reform immigration!!! (Dems AND Retrumplikans)
Something could happen in January. Because Biden chose to include border security in his supplemental funding request for Ukraine and Israel aid, Democrats and Republicans are negotiating immigration reforms that could lead to a tightening of what constitutes credible fear in asylum eligibility and sharp curtailment of parole grants. It’s far from assured that a deal can be struck by Senate negotiators and then passed by both chambers but statements from Schumer, McConnell, and lead negotiators of both sides indicate serious efforts are underway.

Trump and the birthers failed to ban Obama from the ballot and so will this new group of ballot ban crusaders. The constitution will prevail.

Failed?
Um, ok, I guess. That’s awfully generous. I saw no case taken up as legitimate or to the extent of these ballot standing ones facing trump. The courts ruled the plaintiffs had no standing and refused to hear the Astro-turfed Obama lawsuits. To my knowledge, trump himself filed none.

please explain exactly how the 14th will affect the outcome of this correct decision by the co courts.
The 4 judges in CO misinterpreted Section 3 of the 14th. I’ll let SCOTUS provide the definitive explanation you seek. We can expect the issues of due process, what constitutes an insurrection, to whom Section 3 applies, and historical context to be addressed in the Court’s decision.
