The fact is that Israel with US support has destroyed the two state solution. They don't get to resurrect it as if they can turn the clock back 20-30 years. I doubt it was ever really serious anyway, especially once Yitzhak Rabin was murdered in 1995 by a Zionist terrorist who didn't want a two state solution.

The people talking NOW of a two state solution seem to think that people should get amnesia about events of the last 15-30 years. They insult people's intelligence as if we can't see that Israel have themselves (with US support) wrecked the chance of a two state solution. The two state solution was that Gaza and the West Bank (with East Jerusalem as the capital) would be the state of Palestine. As Israel have encroached on more and more West Bank land and turned Gaza into a ghetto, there isn't a two state solution to be had. Netanyahu never hid his intention of aiding Hamas as a counterweight against Fatah, aiming at preventing a Palestinian state from coming into being.

Israel was itself founded in 1948 on the expulsion of over 700,000 (out a Gentile population of 1.2 million in Palestine at the time) from their lands. Ethnic cleansing and expulsion based on the belief of the Zionists being "G-d's people" and "Jewish homeland" is in the very founding of Israel itself. Ethno-nationalist apartheid is what it is.
