Day 7: A song that you think is overrated

Ok so the prompt says overrated, not bad. I want to highlight that because this is my favorite band and I do love this song. HOWEVER, this is BY FAR their most popular song. It is dissimilar in many ways to the rest of their catalog. There are several other songs that are much more deserving of the recognition that this one got.

I'm not even sure if it's rated, let alone underrated. There's something about the harmonizing that doesn't click for me. Maybe I'm not familiar enough with Joe Cocker to understand what is going on with the song, but I'm impartial to it.

I honestly feel like Van Halen could have covered it and left it feeling empty and underwhelming.

Let me preface this by saying that I absolutely LOVE Aerosmith, but this song, I hate it to the core of my being and it was sooooo overplayed for so long!

Same girlfriend that hated that Blink 182 song made this "our" song, so I 100% agree. Over played and overrated. Why Sweet Emotion wasn't their first #1 is beyond me.
