You do know zombies are make-believe right? They're not a real threat you have to worry about.

It's becoming apparent that the shooters on this thread is are mostly very old guys who foolishly think they might live forever if they're heavily armed. Most of them will require assisted living soon, so this is their last hurrah.

Zombie is the "humorous" term for the commie boogie man in their virtual world. You know, like when the libs win another election and figure out a way to reduce their access to military weapons, these old MAGAts might need to lead a civil war, by golly!. Or some similar paranoid scenario. Walter Mitty fantasy.

Can you imagine these geriatric wannabe Clint Eastwoods organizing a revolution? The ones who cause an accidental or intentional firearms death will be prosecuted. But most of them will simply babble on and on about the libs to their nursing home attendents.

Perhaps the nursing home staff can set up a Nerf gun range for them. They can call it the 2A unregulated militia group..

Yeah, but at the time I didn't get what the instructor was trying to tell me by focusing on the front sight.

Most of the upper-tier combat pistol shooters I know that shoot on flat ranges at B-27 type targets, under 15 yards or less, are not worried about aligning and centering front and rear sights as much as they are stance, solid grip, staying on the wall with their trigger press, and making sure the gun is under their dominant eye and the front sight blade is on center mass. Once a good shooter is in his stance, has a good two-handed grip, and has driven the pistol straight out with the front sight blade on the point of aim he can pretty much close his eyes and know he can put several rapid-fire rounds grouped on center mass. With a rock-solid grip and stance, the pistol will return from recoil to where it began.

I can shoot left or right handed using either eye. You can train yourself fairly easily but it helps if one eye isn't "more" dominant than the other. Just like any other disability you learn to work around it.

Or are you saying someone with a disability doesn't have the same rights as you?

That is not what I said at all. My post was clear and definitive in my concern for his well being. If an implication was to be taken - it would be that the state of Tennessee would indicate on his drivers license his impairment. You, from what I've read, seem pretty bright. I am clear with my words no need for you to suppose and suppose incorrectly.

But you did say he should stop shooting because of losing vision in dominant eye though he is learning to shoot non dominant and compared it to losing a drivers license.

Now, obviously, for you and many others - him learning, training, and whatever adjectives you care to use, is something you want to keep unrestricted. He would not be able to drive without glasses, but that's not a concern if he's shooting. Yeah, I would say that would make one irresponsible.

I think the post was deleted but someone commented that it was Trump taking our rights. I Don't disagree that Trumps was as 2A friendly as people like to believe. He was the one that called for bump stock bans and taking guns without due process, i.e. red flag laws. Not the only reasons I won't vote for him in primaries

Run and gun training and practice will get you real dead real fast in a real gun fight. Worst stance for a real gun fight = Isosceles. Second worst thing = standing still while you shoot. Third worst thing = standing up behind a plywood barrier and thinking it's "cover" while you peek around the edge and reveal half your body to shoot a stationary target that didn't move while you were hiding/reloading.

Static shooting on a target range is worse than all of that combined.

The entire run and gun "combat" thing is moronic because it isn't "combat" at all. The way you train will carry over into real life. Best advice when bullets start flying - duck, scramble, hide and find a way to get out. Lacking a viable or safe exit, find a defensible position where the attacker must reveal himself well before he gets to you or can see you. NEVER let the aggressor herd you into his kill box or make you panic enough that you will make poor choices that only lead to where the attacker wants you to go. Sit still behind a barrier if that's the only choice you have and make him come to you while you prepare to get seriously nasty. Not berserker, just so nasty that even a wolverine would say; "Whoa! Now that's bad ass!"

If there are rules, it's a game. If there are no rules and you aren't cheating, you're not trying hard enough.

He mocks the disabled but I've no proof he wants to take away their rights. Saying Republicans do, in voting against the Americans with Disabilities Act, would have been more accurate.

Most Scopes have a diopter than you can adjust to your vision. I'm having to adjust to bifocals that I didn't need 5 years ago. A micro red dot on a pistol helps considerably also.

You are right that some people aren't responsible enough to own guns but who makes that distinction? When a long term gun owner no longer handles weapons safely I'd hope he/she would recognize that and put them away or a family member.

And my talking bad about Trump might get me shunned on this thread. He did some things good, he did some things bad. The tweets a could care less about though that didn't help anything. Since this is a gun thread I focus on what he did in that regard.

Understandable , because often zombie movies are thinly veiled metaphors for race war. George Romero made the conceit obvious in the original Night of the Living when the black hero is murdered at the end by rednecks who mistake him for a zombie.
