Depends where aboot fae the country there fae Edinburgh for example is basically England in Scotland
I was born in Glasgow, brought up on the west coast and moved back to Glasgow about 10 Yr ago, I have seen in my life people that are certainly not Scottish and others who I couldn't keep up with. Up Skye way or the Outer Hebrides you'll find some proper Scottish people, even I don't understand some of them

Spent some time in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Skye recently. Pretty unique place. Unlike rest of UK to me. I dont get the Canada thing at all. And yes Scotts are hard to understand but super friendly.

I did a dna test last year after being harassed to do it, turns out I'm 85% Scottish (predominantly the North East) 13% Scandinavian and 2% Danish/Germania, so I'm descended from vikings and my ancestors never left Scotland when they got here. I've no Irish or English in my genes which is very unusual for such an isolated island.
