There was a time when it was instant, but that was before the stricter rules on image content, so that probably has something to do with it. If I had to guess, I'd say they're screening them in batches, one batch every 4-6 weeks or so. And yes, I'd bet it really is still just Laurel and Manu doing most, if not all, of the top-level work on Literotica. That is, compliance, IT, administration, accounting, etc. Pretty much everything except individual forum moderation and story editing.

As I read these posts, I am less concerned about my avatar change. Sounds like they need help.

Help has been offered. No reply. But the more I think about it, they really can't. If you've ever run a forum like this, you'd know that would require Admin level access which might include access to the database in some way. A wrong key could crash the forum in certain ways.

When Laurel made some changes to Mods, things were inadvertently disabled and it took several days to correct. Part of that is her still learning Xenforo after using VBulletin for so many years.

My avatar is one I made when I was a kid. I am in my twilight years now so I want a more me avatar. My avatar is simply my facial shot and I am wearing a t-shirt and my vet cap. What is wrong with that? It's been months now since I submitted it. I am sick and tired of my kid self with two sword behind my back.

Maybe it would help to have a thread in big bright fonts,drumroll " AVATAR ISSUES PLEASE READ BEFORE UPLOAD" at a first in technical support? Just to let people know it might take some time before the Avatar shows on the profile. After uploading a file a and click save i get a confirmation that the changes have been saved. And then nothing. After a few days i think maybe it got rejected and upload another one.....an so on.Its a bit annoying and probably leds to angry posts or messages to the Admins.

No, you really can't. Avatars are uploaded to Lit servers, not linked remotely.
