Well how about that! Yes, it’s the Colorado River flowing through it, but the whole thing is in Arizona. AZ’s official nickname is The Grand Canyon State.

i flew over it once.

Went to Vegas on holiday many years ago and took one of the helicopter sight-seeing flights down to the Grand Canyon, where we landed somewhere in the canyon itself for a quick walk round and picnic - awesome!

Our major concern was that the pilot looked about 14 so we were wondering if he actually had a flying licence! But he got us there and back without hitting anything so I guess he knew what he was doing

Re San Francisco, I traveled from St Louis to Honolulu on a direct flight once and it took me right over San Francisco, it was a super clear day and the view of the city was spectacular… I could pick out some of the sights from way up high in altitude! Fantastic.

When we were there, we also saw The Eagles in one of their multiple Farewell Tour gigs Our seats were so far from the stage, I thought we were in California! Probably $200 or so each well spent ...
