BLM does not support Hamas.

Adding - supporting Palestinians is not the same thing as supporting Hamas.

You know these "enclaves" that Hamas attacked? Know the history of them? Not saying Hamas was right. But it was purposeful. Think for a moment. If Hamas could pull this off...why couldn't they have attacked Israel proper? They could have. They chose not to. Why? The response would be the same.

Violence only begets more violence. This solution Israel is implementing...will only create more violence. It is a choice. There are solutions. Qatar would...and can...broker the release of hostages. But that isn't what Israel wants. Why?

This is way more complex than people want to accept. Both sides are wrong

Actually...did Hamas initiate it? Or was it in response to Israeli actions? I don't have that answer. But I can see it either way. Shouldn't that be the way the World looks at conflicts?

So what you are saying is it's not okay for HAMAS and company to do the horrendous things they did but it's understandable? But it's not understandable that Israel would be so angry at these atrocities that they would retaliate? Have the Palestinians ever tried a peaceful solution, tried to work with the Israelis on hammering out an equitable peace? Or is it all on the Israelis to do that? And if so why? If I remember right way back the Israelis occupied parts of the strip and the West Bank because they had been attacked. I will freely admit that a secondary reason was an expansion of their territory. BUT that was a distant second reason. That's not acceptable, right? But doing this is?

I saw the video of filling a spring with concrete however, it was a standalone, no explanation, no context and not in a language I could understand so I really couldn't take it seriously because of that.

Of course violence begets violence. That said, there is NO excuse for expressly targeting and killing civilians for no other reason than to kill them. HAMAS should have known (and I'm sure they did but didn't care) it would lead back to retribution from Israel. Had they had any other aim than to kill Israelis they could have played on and used the world's opinion and sympathy for their cause. They didn't. they didn't even try. How many times have rockets been fired from within the Gaza Strip and were dismissed with, "Well they didn't hit anything, so it was harmless." Yeah, somebody shoots at my house I shoot back. A stray shot can kill someone just as dead as an aimed one.

Many of those who live in the strip just want to live their lives without fear. But there are enough who support such actions as taken by HAMAS that they empowered that group.

In the end there was NO excuse for the actions taken by HAMAS. NONE. All they did was stir the hornet's nest and bring it down on the innocents living in the strip. Many innocent lives were and will be lost because of their actions. And the bad part is many of those who engaged in this action will run and hide and let the innocents be the martyrs for the cause.

Hamas initiated it. Hamas had no specific targets against government policy. Hamas targeted Israeli citizens.

I can read your non answer. How do you deal with Hamas. They use their own people as human shields. It’s not just about dealing with Hamas that’s at the center of this issue. In order to eliminate future threats tunnel systems need to be flattened, weapons and ammunition depots need to be destroyed. Palestinians are partly at fault for this terrorist threat. 2005 Palestinians were given back the strip and allowed Hamas to take over. There is no clean way to deal with terrorist that are willing to die for their religious cause. Things won’t change till the theocratic leadership of Iran is disposed of like the garbage they are. Till Iran pays a massive price for funding terror nothing except more dead people is in the future.

The pummeling of the Gaza Strip may motivate Palestinians to rise up against Hamas, and maybe not.

Everyone was surprised by the scale and efficiency of the Hamas attack. Agree? So...if they could pull that off...why did they focus on the targets they did...and not something bigger? Like...really big? Make a different statement big? World Trade Center big. They surely knew the response would be the same.

People look at terrorists as stupid. They are anything but. There is motive. People just don't like it. You can't fight terrorists by lowering yourself to their level.
