Alabama lawmakers have refused to create a second majority-Black congressional district.

There should be a standard across every state that the mileage between constituents in the same district cannot be greater than a certain amount (proportional to number of districts). Each district should be drawn to properly represent an area rather than a party.

For example - Jim Jordan's district in Ohio would be impossible to draw up. (Those near Cleveland should not be in the same district as those near Columbus)

Any district should be drawn within +3% of the smallest perimeter possible. This allows for geographic issues. This is where AI can benefit society. This is the area...this is the number of districts in that area (x)...create x districts within the area resulting in both the minimal individual and cumulative sum of perimeter distance. No more gerrymandering by EITHER Party

I don't see where this is final in any way and that they can't continue to stonewall and appeal.

ORDER IN PENDING CASE
23A231 ALLEN, AL SEC. OF STATE V. MILLIGAN, EVAN, ET AL.
The application for stay presented to Justice Thomas and by
him referred to the Court is denied.

I like how Derp is going to tell SC they are wrong.

I’m guessing they have LOADS more knowledge on the issue.

Just mad they didn’t go the way of the racist Alabama legislature and Governor.

A half-assed paralegal, vs the SCOTUS...yep that's a derp move....

Seems the SCROTEs are a wee bit miffed at 'Bama for making them have to revisit this for what ... the third time?

Goes back to my question though that so far no one has answered. How exactly DOES the Court enforce their rulings?

If he is, no way he’s one that says you don’t pay if I don’t win.

Maybe Rudi should go to those kind??
lol he would never risk not getting paid. I don't think there's a lawyer out there who would offer that to Rudy either...

Dudes ain't a' gittin' it. This ain't, I say this ain't ain't a joke son!!!

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — The Alabama attorney general’s office said Thursday that it opposes all three congressional maps proposed by a court-appointed special master as federal judges begin drawing new lines to create a second majority-Black district in the state or something close to it.

The attorney general’s office objected to the proposals, maintaining “that the districts based on this structure are unconstitutional racial gerrymanders.”

So the racists are calling out race. How quaint.

There will never be a white district drawn up.
The reason for a black district is that the current districts dilute black populations.

Aka every district is a majority white district specifically drawn to break apart black majority regions. (Except for one)

This is nonsense.
The courts have already ruled on this.

The Republican majority districts are made to represent the Republican population. Even a lot of Republican districts are heavily non white compared to what a majority white district looked like just a few decades ago.
Then why have Republicans recorded data based on racial distribution?

https://www.voanews.com/a/us-judges...criminates-against-black-voters-/7255601.html
Democrats or the federal government aren’t drawing black districts to represent Democrats they are drawing them to give black people districts where they can do whatever the fuck they want as long as it is black people doing it. In other words, if every black Democrat became a Republican today those black districts drawn would still be just black districts drawn for the purpose of being black dominated.
Democrats didn't draw the maps

There will never be a district where white people are allowed to explicitly direct funds and activism to white people without giving a fuck what other people living in the area want but that is exactly what racial gerrymandering allows for non white groups in this country.
Majority White districts are the majority of the state. There is a singular black majority district.

They aren’t white districts, they are Republican or Democrat majority districts that happen to be mostly white and most of them are disproportionately represented by a non white local government and federal representatives.
The court has stated otherwise.

Black people voting overwhelmingly Democrat and losing out because Republicans are elected is not the same thing as courts or Democrat special interest groups demanding that black people control a district regardless of party lines in the district.
Sounds like you blame black people for their lack of representation.

If black people voted overwhelmingly Republican then those black districts drawn up every year would also count as Republican districts and all of this nonsense wouldn’t be in court despite nothing changing legally, that is how wrong this issue is.
Lol.....that is dumb and the courts have said otherwise.

The districts are carved out based on race, specifically to dilute majority black regions of the state.

There is only one district that represents a black population majority.
