Gun stuff is dumb stuff

Reality is reality.
You seem to believe you are based in reality? Ok.... here is some reality......
In 1962 public law 87-297 is explained in state department document publication 7277 the blueprint for the peace race. Was signed by the president and signed by every president there after except Reagan and Trump.
To understand the full brunt. In the United States code books 1982 edition (approximately 25 volumes) volume 9 page 554 you will find public law 87-297 this explains your future. Then turn to page 555 it calls for the elimination of US armed forces along with the elimination of private gun ownership. Page 558 refers to the pacifing objectors this law and this and the un treaty has been updated 18 times so far .... after you read and understand this bit of information. Go read the patriot act..... in short you and I are headed for a cattle car.......

No, you believe your perception is the only reality.

My perception that the senate is closely balanced and that there is a 60% filibuster which is used to stall gun legislation supported by most Americans?
My perception that "mentally incapable" is different than fiscal hard times?
My perception of the historical record of GOP voting in step with the NRA?

Dude, those are facts.

Which you can't even bother to acknowledge.

Your deflection is... not surprising however.

70 years ago and still going bonkers about having your guns taken from you.

We have more guns in the hands of the people now than ever. I think you can relax. Or at least grab the smelling salts to get your fainting under control.

I listened to a really good podcast on the NRA (check out Gangster Capitalism, if you’re interested) and in that, many gun owners were pro-gun laws and safety because the people who are using them responsibly, understand the consequences of their actions and don’t want idiots to be able to own guns and misuse them.

The people who are making the situation worse, are the politicians that are being financially backed and getting monetary kickbacks from gun lobbyists and the gun corporations who want to make money and do not give a shit about how many people die. they have the power to make change and actively choose not to every day.

The question isn’t “does America have a gun problem?” Because you do. Full stop. It’s a fact. The question is, “can you allow people to have guns while also having effective gun laws in place OR do the guns need to be removed completely?”

Also, if you have some time, here is a fun debate to watch:

It's obvious you don't understand what you read....... this is a long process..... but in short your future, my future my very well end up in a cattle car..... go read and understand.....

You would rather argue minutia than stay on point. What are you grand and glorious ideas for gun control other than taking away all private gun ownership?

You put forth false statements to support your opinion.

I demonstrated that those false statements are false.

This is not minutia. You ask for middle ground. Yet you are not standing on firm ground to even find a middle between.

And then you want to play insults instead of trying to absorb the fact that the statements are false.

I have no intention or desire to take away all private gun ownership. If I had my way it would be more like Sweden and how they regulate guns. They actually have a high gun ownership rate - and a very low rate of gun violence.

Can you please operate in a fact based reality?

Both parties are guilty of sabotaging legislation. They often introduce poison pill legislation and then point the finger at the opposing party for something as dumb as not supporting SS. People are gullible on both sides. Lit posters love to use that tactic blaming republicans for not siding with ridiculous legislation. The red flag bill voiced some legitimate concerns especially the violation of our constitutional right to due process. All you have to do is observe the J/6 criminal prosecutions and blatant violations of due process. Many protesters were represented by democrat DC swamp creatures which resulted in lack of proper representation, gestapo tactics, process convictions, gross violations of sentencing guidelines. (*Watch Chutkan*) and a quick trip to DC gulags. I'm praying that if and when we win the majorities in congress and white house our government initiates a warren style commission to investigate the gross violations of due process.

What specific gun control legislation have republicans introduced that the democrats have sabotaged?

When I was a youngster we brought some of our guns to school and never had to worry about a school shooting. What's changed since the 60s? The erosion of christian values, the decline of the nuclear family, the onset of the internet and unsupervised access, the department of education and the lowering of educational standards, feeding the entitlement culture, racing to national mediocracy, wokeness, promoting dependency on big government, the erosion of meritocracy, self reliance while surrendering our individual rights for freebees and failure to deal with drug addiction and homelessness. JFK hit it out of the park " ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country".
You’re absolutely right. Americans today shouldn’t be allowed to have guns.

DC has improved immeasurably over the last few years, let's keep it that way.
DC is a swill pit.* CALL IN THE NATIONAL GUARD!*

Violent crime is rising sharply, fueled by more homicides and carjackings. The District of Columbia’s mayor, Muriel Bowser, and the D.C. Council have, at times, been at odds about crime legislation. On Capitol Hill, the Republican-led House has begun citing the city’s crime statistics while aggressively reviewing local public safety laws.

I favor a total gun ban. But if you want to propose a compromise position, I’m willing to hear you out.

^^^ Half of the posts are people arguing with them, which is equally pointless and unproductive.
