A once darling of the climate alarmism community-turned skeptic climate scientist Judith Curry told John Stossel that the "man-made climate change" narrative is a "manufactured consensus" because researchers found that they could make money pushing it.

The video released on Tuesday pointed out how some scientists take aggressive attempts to hide data that shows that climate change isn't a crisis. She said they do "Ugly things" such as "Avoiding Freedom of Information Act requests. Trying to get journal editors fired."

"The origins go back to the…U.N. environmental program," Curry said about the "climate changed industry." She noted that some UN officials were motivated by "anti-capitalism. They hated the oil companies and seized on the climate change issue to move their policies along."

She pointed to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) which was set up "to look for dangerous human-caused climate change" and "not focus on any benefits of warming."

Climate change itself is driven by the profit motive inherent in the capitalist system. Fossil fuel corporations, and their political supporters, are acting today like the tobacco industry was acting for decades from the 1960s, downplaying the disastrous effects and costing lives.

On the Titanic, there weren't enough lifeboats for all the people on board, and many of the rich objected even to the small number of lifeboats that were on board. The same attitude prevails now when it comes to their attitude to climate change, only there's no alien planet for them to go to, no sky city. They'd seemingly prefer the extinction of humanity through artificial intelligence, Terminator style, or AI slowly transforming the human race into cyberman types, Doctor Who style, where we gradually replace our organic body parts with machinery to "upgrade" and "protect ourselves" from fear, cold, heat etc. until we become monstrous machines ourselves.

Yes they did, the Titanic, was after all, unsinkable. The fee paid to travel on the most opulent, largest and fastest ocean liner afloat, where no luxury had been spared, was a small fortune. To be in first class was more than most people earned in a year. As such those in first class, the "rich" folk, didn't want to see life boats, or their davits. No they wanted the view they paid for!

The boats were not left off for cost savings, they were left off because they were viewed by the builders as unnecessary. The Navel rules of the time had no safety standard, so there we no rules forcing the ship to have as many as were needed. Instead there were as many as the Engineers felt would be needed.
