The Opryland amusement park is fun is you have kids

The Opryland USA theme park closed about 25 years ago. I know it was gone when I went there in the late 90s.

They have other stuff. A great big outdoor/indoor garden and the hotel itself is pretty. Everything there is wicked expensive. It’s mostly for conventions these days they said.

If I recall, they had turned the old park land into an outside shopping area, but a lot was damaged in the 2010 floods. I've been to the hotel a few times, though the last was way back in 2011.

Asheville? Really? Give me Boone and Blowing Rock town wise, or Bryson City activity wise!

Boone and Blowing Rock are tourist traps (Downtown BR is cool, but the rock itself is a joke)
Bryson City is nice because our Southern Highlands are real and the so-called High Country is a college surrounded by Floridians. BC is next to the Cherokee Boundary (NOT a reservation) where I have friends and relatives.
And Asheville is a jewel in the clouds.
