Ohhhhh I’d be so annoyed. My tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, spinach etc are all in the poly tunnel. So luckily they’re safe.

Yeah, at least the tomatoes are going wild, so I still get a fair amount. The peppers on the other hand I was pretty pissed about. At least they can’t get the watermelon and they leave the cucumbers and squash alone.

That’s why the UK can’t cope with high temperatures. Our whole structure is geared to keep heat in. So now we’re starting to get temps in the 30’s+ we can’t handle it Everywhere feels like a hot house.

We have around 15C overnight and a high of 21C today but it’s so miserable. Rainy, windy and dank

Oh gosh yes... Please dear August.. I mean.. the autumn and winter will come soon enough.. I would be grateful for just.. a couple of weeks more sun!

(Also, my Apple trees, figs and pears would be very happy!)

Yeah, that’s rough when you can’t handle it. I was in Turkey last week and it was great weather comparatively, but the news was going on about everyone dropping like flys across the Mediterranean.

Pure madness. Sucks because a few hours north of here they usually get a good peach harvest, but we are not getting enough cold days for stone fruit. Now I am hungry hopefully your orchard perks up.

If I am in the city... Oh... I am soooo going to sit in front of some pretty painting, or enjoy an exhibition..

But, what is worse.. In the 00's and the big building boom.. Everyone wanted to build these office landscapes.. with huuuuge facades.. Of GLASS... and, obviously, no A/C.. I mean.. it is Denmark..

People are getting boiled alive in them.

Most of the friends of The small humans, are travelling in the Med... Some in Croatia, France, Italy and so on..

I was in Ankara, so far enough from the coast to cool off at night.

Yeah it’s pretty wild, esp when your not equipped to deal with it. The Canadian wild fires are really bad this year. Was up north last month and the air quality was terrible.

Ohhhh yes, they’ve done that here too! My work had air conditioning but not in the back office where all our desks are. It’s gross, you can smell the heat I sit out front in the air conditioning
But when we had temps of 34/36C earlier this year even the air conditioning couldn’t cope

Oh the airport in Munich has these glass tunnels that are mini greenhouses. I was just cooking while standing in line.

An art gallery, just sitting.. walking leisurely.. and not dripping of sweat! Yeah.. definitely my go to, when it gets too warm!

Ugh!! that is the worst, when you are actually able to smell the heat.. and that sticky icky feeling, of just.. constantly being covered in sweat.

For all of my dreams of living a warmer place.. I do truthfully enjoy the climate up here. Drinking tea and knitted sweaters are hygge!

Oh me too! I love Autumn I think it’s probably my favourite season. I love a dry heat though. It’s the humidity I can’t stand.

The humidity is just yucky, cold or hot.. When hot.. The skin is constantly covered in that sticky layer.. Unable to actually regulate the body temperature..

In the winter.. The humidity makes the cold so much worse.. all the talk about wind chill factor.. yeah, we got that..
But.. it is the humidity that is the real culprit, that sticky cold.. it seeps into your bones and render you unable to feel warm. (Long live sauna!)

Still... I do like it up here!!
