Personal experience...if you own a Wii a Wii remote is a good side-by-side object for comparison.Piece of string and a ruler. Or side by side comparison of household objects.

I think most remotes would work. Remotes tend to be smaller now I've noticed. Which actually isn't a bad thing because now the D looks bigger.

If you don't have a tailors tape, string is definitely the way to go for the girth measurement.
Using the Wii for the Wee... genius! I'd toss out maybe a Roku remote too considering those are relatively common.
Toilet paper rolls are another popular one since they're pretty commonly available. And if you can't slide it over, you're 5.5+ girth. Sharpies might be another good comparison too.
My go-to, though, is a dollar bill. Or a 5, 10, 20, or even 100 depending on how much I'm feeling like a baller.
They're 6.1" or so long, so length comparison works well AND you can wrap it around, and any overlap or lack thereof is usable for comparison.Should I know all this? No. Do I apologize for knowing it? Also no.
I'd thought about that one too. We have a pretty standard dildo that's still available through one of the major toy sites. Length is probably a good comparison, but for girth/thickness you almost have to have something tangible for comparison. It's hard to visualize girth for most people.
