I’d go quality over quantity. A good single malt scotch. Anejo tequila can be very good. Don’t rule out the craft distilleries.

I’d suggest going to a good sushi place. Go with someone that knows sushi. Let them recommend stuff to try. It’s how I learned what I like
I like Speyside scotch. My go to is Glenlivet. There’s better out there. Glenlivet is not expensive but has good taste.

Glenlivet is my go to. Most times it’s the 12 or 15/18 year old. Sometimes it’s the 21. Loooooove the 21 but not one I get often. As it’s bit pricey
