Years ago I hung out with a female friend. She told me straight up "You're fun, I like you." She just said it straight up with no pressure or expectation. What was great about this is that it completely took away the "does she like me or not?" guessing game. I reciprocated and we ended up having an amazing time together.

I learned from that really. If you like someone and it's appropriate to tell them it's okay to say so.
