I once mixed malibu with lambrusco (a very cheap sparkling wine) cos I was already drunk and it made sense to combine the two drinks I had.
Ended up falling off a bar stool later and breaking my arm.
Good times

So if you go to a dedicated boba shop you should be able to ask for it to be less sweet. I usually get my drinks at 0% sweet so its just a strong tea taste with the milk and boba makint it a bit sweet.

haha... last year a week before July 4th I was hanging out at a local bar that was dead. Just chatting with the bartender as she was a close friend.

She was trying to make a Red, White, and Blue drink... So we tried several DOZEN different combinations of red grenadine, blue curacao, and every clear or white liquor in the place.... I was the only person there other than her, and she wasn't allowed to drink.... Most of the drinks were horrible and I got pretty fucked up by midnight. luckily, she didn't charge me for any of them HAHA.... but we did end up with a good one that tasted OK and looked neat.

actually... I think the white was some sort of coffee or cream liqueur... but the red was grenadine and blue was blue curacao

This reminds me of the bob marley shot they had at a resort in Jamaica. Looked pretty with distinctive color layerts but tasted like shit.
