I know people that live the cruises, they’ve never appealed to me though as you don’t get long enough on each island, plus I get sea sick if you love snorkelling though then the Maldives is great, I’ve done loads of photos and videos from my trips there and they always get great feedback on the various Maldives forums on Facebook so I created a YouTube channel for them 🏝 a few different Maldives groups on facebook did competitions to have a photo as the groups cover photos and I won on both groups with different photos

I think maldives would be way more expensive compared to say, Thailand... which has already seen a hike in prices since the early days.

Yeah it is more expensive in the Maldives, but as the different islands are the resorts in means that you only have the staff and the guests on them, so it always feels nice and quiet and no people trying to sell you stuff. I do fancy trying Thailand and a few places like that at some time as the islands there look very good for snorkelling as well

Ha ha it was interesting to see, but actually was surface snorkelling, it’s all I ever do, I never go under the water as I’m on a floating hammock when out at sea

Guys, if you send a PM to a woman, are you really expecting a reply or is it "no biggie" if she doesnt send you a reply? How do you feel?

I totally understand that on this website there are way more men than women. If it is an initial message and it gets lost (I prefer to resume it is not seen as opposed to ignored), or there is just no vibe with the initial message, then I get it, and don't expect a response.

It is more frustrating if you are halfway through a conversation, and then they just disappear. At that point if I see that they are still active on the forum, then it just feels like I am being ignored, and if you're no longer interested in chatting with me, I would have appreciated a message saying as much.

This probably happens with both sexes, but since I generally chat with guys, my question would be: why do guys lie when they chat online?

I think this is a great question, I think the anonymity of the internet allows people to show who they really are. While people do lie in real life, I think it is easier to lie on the internet where the consequences can be far less impactful. People can pretend to be single, or pretend to be super fit, or pretend to be anything really.
Knowing the kind of lies that people will tell in person, it hardly shocks me when people do it online as well.
Also, I think especially on a forum like literotica, a lot of guys (I say guys because of the male to female ratio here) are interested in primarily one thing from the website, and they will say what they need to do to get what they want to get as quickly as possible.

How has your experience on lit been? if you have any particular experience you'd like to share, please do so.

I've only been active in the forums for around a week now, and it has definitely been a mixed bag. I find like any other form of social media, what you post matters. You are still building an online persona here.
After around 3 days I found out that there seems to be a core group of Listers that post in a lot of the threads, and then certain other listers who just stick to certain threads and don't branch out as much.


I also find that I am intrigued by how people react to certain things. There are people from all walks of life, and just like in any other mass group gathering, there are those you will agree with and those you won't.

Since I'm from South East Asia, have you been to this region?

I have not had the pleasure of traveling further east than Europe. Southern Asia is definitely on my bucket list, though I have not done enough research to know exactly where. I have heard lots of good things about Thailand, and Vietnam has always appealed to me, though I cannot put my finger on why. Another issue is that my body does not react favorably to spicy food, which could pose a problem for me. Either that, or my body would very quickly learn to adapt.

Whats your best experience from lit? this could be anything from a story (tell us which one); a litster; a voice; a picture; something new you learnt about yourself; .... etc etc.

So far the experiences have been limited, but there is someone that I have started chatting with that means a lot. It is not a sexual conversation, but rather just a conversation about life, hardship and struggle, but also about finding joy.

Tell me about yourself and what you'd like to chat about.

I like to chat about a large variety of things, from sports and hobbies, to meditating and biohacking. If the conversation is flowing, and things get flirty, it is also something that I enjoy chatting about, but not my primary focus for being here. There are always the stories for that.
I think my favorite thing about a form like this is that there is such a wide variety of people to talk to and experience is to learn from. Like I said earlier you can find the best and the worst of humanity here, and I find it is worth it to sift through to find gold.

@FlyingThroughLife, I find your response to asian2015 rather amazing. For in 2016, when she started this thread, it took until posts #36 + 37, until somebody began responding in earnest to her questions.

And your response still tops all others, so it appears to me. And THIS happens in the year 2023, when people here appear to have “unlearned” much of what they once knew about conversations. My respect goes out to you for sure.

And to asian2015 also, for staying with your thread for SEVEN years by now! And for responding always with substance, to replies you have received. I wish you all the best in your future.

hey there! oh the usual...just got my car back from the mechanic... oh what a bill! haha. tomorrow probably tinker around with some maintenance project, and then rest/recharge for the upcoming week.

Currently grilling burgers and hot dogs for my granddaughter's first birthday party. Have a brisket out and ready to smoke for Labor Day with family. It will be a great weekend. We have enough for you - come join us!

Mechanics aren't much fun, but having a car not working is probably less fun. Hope you get to enjoy some fun drives now that it's fixed!

It's her choice to respond or not and I don't get upset if she doesn't because I know she probably has 1000 messages in her inbox and I doubt anything I say will make mine stand out because she may not even get the chance to read the content.

4. It's been okay. Haven't been able to connect with anyone yet and the few that respond to me I always end up messing something up. Although looking back at it, I don't think it's really mostly my fault. Maybe people are fed up with others, especially guys, and that contributes to the lack of patience. Like today, I was just chatting with a really cool litster and she was upset that I posted in between the private message "cooldown" and she probably ignored me. Maybe I was in the wrong but maybe not. I would have liked for a bit of patience and understanding but hey she's entitled to her pet peeves or things that are unacceptable to her.
