I 'm sure one person was killed with one. However the idea that guns make things safer its just so fucking absurd. It makes me wish conservatives would just admit they don't give a damn how many people die. Because none of their solutions bear out in reality. None of their lies hold up IRL either. Its hard to believe people are that fucking stupid that they don't understand why the NRA National Convention doesn't allow guns for a fucking reason.

I wish, he was segweying into how clubs (his old incorrect claim) kill more people than rifles and shotguns combined every here. Its only true if you call a club any blunt melee weapon. So making a segway into clubs.
There really is VERY limited evidence of lives saved by guns. Especially if you discount situations that wouldn't have occured without the guns being present in the first place.

I'm calling bullshit on that story. Or more accurately claiming that this is like when a parent says their infant owns several bonds. What they MEAN is when they were born people bought government bonds for the person to be given to them when they turn 18 or whatever arbitrary age.
Either that or they are talking about some sort of Nerf toy. I would agree in the latter case its still a little sick but I think American culture in many ways is sick.

Limit gun sales, enforce red flag rules more stringently, do GUN BUY BACKS! Make certain a person who legally owns a weapon is trained in its proper use. If the weapon is stolen and not reported within say seven days with exceptions if you get robbed while you can prove you were away from home for an extended period of time you're responsible for what happens.
If your child knicks your weapon and kills someone you will be charged. I don't know what the crime would be at the moment but its not like we don't have ways of making laws. Now getting Republicans to agree even that a stolen weapon is fundamentally different from a stolen Playstation or even a car. I mean I would report my car, they are never going to find my Playstation so if that was ALL the vanished ask me if I care.

I am not surprised that not a single one of you addressed your own hypocrisy in only caring about gun deaths when they affect white middle class people. Many major metropolitan areas are nightly blood baths of gang violence and the deaths of innocent civilians including children. I guess you closet racism has been exposed.

No real person believes in the second amendment however. If you read both the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence the Founding Fathers (to whatever extent we should trust them which I think less than most of us actually do) thought that your rights either came from God (not necessarily a Christian God just a Creator) or were "Natural" Either way if you are against Iran getting nukes you think you are literally smarter than God or that there is no such thing as natural law. I don't really care if Iran gets the bomb or not but that's because I don't think the world is filled with psychos who want a global extinction level event that benefits nobody.
The 2nd, as written says I have every right to carry a KABAR knife on me in any public place I want. There are limits on how long and what kinds of knives you can legally carry in public. There are general rules but some are hard to define or arbitrary in a lot of ways. Like there is no legal definition of a switch blade. I don't remember his name cus so many black men get shot by cops but he was shot and killed. And if you assume the cops had X-Ray vision (I'm not a cop, maybe you can see through a man's pants twenty feet away when you get a badge. I can't prove its not true and nobody who isn't law enforcement can prove me wrong) it literally depended on if he was in his home city or the city next door since one had a law against Switch Blades and one didn't. And even then what he had might have been legal no matter where he was standing. But cops are always correct.
I'm old enough to remember the 90's and again I'm sure someone with a better memory (or who wasn't like 12 at the time) can remember a famous LA shoot out between cops and gangsters where the gangsters had legal armor piercing bullets and the cops had to break into a local gun store to even the fight. Armor piercing rounds were banned afterward. PRetty much the whole of America agreed that if cops die "fuck the Constitution." I mean we all ignore it except when we can't win an argument on its merits but lets go on because I am bored.
The Supreme Court switches its mind on if the Constitution applies to states on a case by case basis if we are being at all honest. But Ronald Reagan, a prominant then Republican Governor decided that black people observing the police while armed to prevent brutality was a good reason to ignore the Constitution.
For the record Bush did the same with GITMO and its been more than twenty years and no president, no Congress has challenged it. And any of them could. You have to prove "harm" to be able to bring a lawsuit. I would say being able to uphold my vow to uphold the Constitution either qualifies as harm or is so close that you'd have to argue some of the crap later.
I grew up in the 80's/90's ( I hate claiming to be an 80's kid cus I was 6 and 10 months when the 80's ended. I have like five memories of them and they aren't pleasant.) But I remember Final Fight, Streets of Rage, Demolition Man (the Movie) and a ton of other games/shows and movies about how out of control crime was and how scared people were. I remember the LA riots of Rodney King. I was close enough to remember some of the aftermath because it happened to ME.
Do you remember a lot of stories from that era that involved RPGs, Mines, GRENADES? Cus Grenades would be great in drive byes for people who genuinely don't care about collateral damage which is what Right Wingers believe of drug dealers which is who we're (falsely) told are the major culprits.

This thread simply pointed out all of the gun violence Americans face. And the conservatives, including you, went apeshit. Like you always do when faced with these simple truths.
It's become more than obvious that conservatives cannot deal or face the problems with gun violence in America. You can only revert to the more guns equal better mode. Which you have handily demonstrated over the last page or so. You have no solutions. You only have contempt for anybody that has the temerity to document reality when it comes to gun violence. You've done nothing but strike out and attack pretty much this entire thread while claiming victim.
While the real victims of gun violence, everyday Americans, are essentially ignored for profit. So please spare me your temper tantrum.
