2 stories pending for 2 weeks. I've left several emails but they go unanswered. Is this site still active? Should I give up and stop posting my stories here? - Thanks for any feedback.

That is really bad of them, at least answer a email.
Hope someone helps you and gives you answers

Are these your first stories? Often first stories take longer to get approved than other submissions.

Edit: I went and looked at your profile and you have several submissions up already, so there goes that theory! Same with my theory about you going to the pending tab and starting the process over by opening the stories. Of course that could still be happening, but if you've been writing here as long as you have you know not to do that I'm sure.

Two weeks does seem long, and I hope you get some resolution soon.

Please keep us posted!

Email doesn't work. PM Laurel, with a reference to the story's url, but make sure you have actually submitted it first - it will show as Pending - and it's not accidentally still a Draft.

Support seems to be lagging in response, I've noticed it too. I have a series that are linked in the new feature and none of them are launching - just a server error code. Two weeks also since I submitted a request. I've repeated one again - patiently waiting and waiting and ...

Have you tried the manual series builder? I had two series where the chaptering fell over years ago. I was able to fix both using the manual builder. It took a couple of goes to figure it out, but in the end, both series work properly now.

In summary, I deleted both "old" series (the busted ones), started two "new" ones, and manually added the chapters in the correct order.

I also have a story that has been pending for more than a week. I created a new series as I submitted it. I wonder if the delay has anything to do with that?

Did you have more than one chapter? The series algorithm needs two or more chapters to work.

It's best, in my experience, to let the automatic process work on its own, then use the manual process to add the Series lead in blurb, and to tick the "Completed" box when it's finished.

The automatic process sorts on an numeric-alpha basis. Using Title Ch.01, Title Ch.02 as the chapter designator is the simplest and most straightforward method, although you can also do Title alpha, Title beta, Title charlie - that works too.

Don't get too clever with your method, that's a sure fire way for it to go wrong. And if you plan more than ten chapters, always start with 01. If you plan more than a hundred (don't do that to yourself!), start with 001.

Thank you for your help. I will make the appreciate changes and hopefully get the story published soon.

Having similar problems, I submitted a story & someone else's story was published under my heading.

Also takes a long time to post up anew avtar etc.

I'm new, I'll stick around to see if things improve.

I will try that. The series used to work fine. Then much later, I checked on some issues and found none were working. I'll try and tackle the 'fix' method you used and let back to you on the results. Thanks. DMallord.

[Edit] Well! How about that? Yesterday they didn't work. Now, I tried the story launch after I opened the series window and saw a tag that said it was 'COMPLETED.' Backing out of that, I opened the file - it worked, and they all worked today! Hurray for someone in the background getting it done! Thanks, whoever you are!

Same boat here and I must admit there is something reassuring to know I am not alone. Submitted a story on 3/04; still pending, no update. Never had a story take longer than 4 days to approve, let alone 14. I assume there is just a ton of backlog for a team stretched thin, but it would be nice to have either the submission FAQ, a warning banner, or something to indicate a pending period of more than 2-4 days. I'll give it the weekend and send a message to an admin if it is still pending after that.

[UPDATE] It appears mine was just posted. For those still waiting, good luck!

I havent been waiting quite that long, but I mean dang should it be immediate and someone retroactively moderates them.
It should be. I'm not sure it has to do with "moderation", only. I suspect there are some technical issues with the new forum features. If I wanted to delete my AV, for example, the result should be seen immediately, instead of "waiting for moderators". Why on earth do I need an "approval" to delete my AV? It makes no sense. lol

I finally recvd a reply to my submitted story. It took three weeks. Then it was rejected, lol. I am pretty sure it was rejecred out of hand just to throw it back in my lap without really looking at it with the goal of publishign it. How would I make that assumption? The story had been published here before with no issues. And the only thing that has changed was WHO the person was that "moderated" it. I do not really have a problem with that. However, you should actually TELL me WHY there was a rejection NOT pushing it back into my lap and making me guess as to why.
From what I have seen of the "new" Lit, it is in pretty bad shape. Jussayin.
Oh, I have been trying to get my avatar changed for over three weeks now with absolutely NO feedback.
i been waiting 3 weeks for avatar too

what do you base this on?

also, i don't know when you had it published here before but there's been a considerable tightening up on some parameters your story might have breached first time around.

what did you do with the original published piece? did you remove it? ask for it to be removed? is it still out there and so perhaps rejected this time around for being the same as an existing copy?

i agree there should be some reason given; did you check it for typos before submitting? i ask this since your post is littered with them.

Yeah it definitely sounds like some kind of issue with a setting in the new forums. I mean perhaps theyre not getting notifications? But surely they see all the people posting threads about it. I mean someone has to be logging in and reading the threads.

Oh WOW....I would be just about fuming!!! I emailed the moderator of this very forum the other day while they were online, just to say hello and introduce myself, and have yet to get a response. Still havent had my avatar approved and its literally me standing there smiling, fully clothed. rated "G" as hell. What I am guessing, is they might be having a hard time with the new forum, but I just dont think they have enough people that are dedicated to the site. I mean lets face it, literotica has always felt like a little tiny site ran by just a few people, now even more, I just think that it grew so big and they didnt grow with it. But they sure are getting paid through the live webcam affiliate and Literotica dont miss a beat when its comes to sending canned emails that says "100 Free Credits" Yeah if you spend $30 dollars its free....which makes it, ummmm....NOT FREE. I cant help but feel like theyre selling out a little bit. Im kind of having second thoughts about being a member here, after Ive seen how they are treating you guys. And the straw that broke the camels toe was them sending me that stupid, straight up, LIE about getting free credits. Not that I need the credits or anything, I am actually a model on that site. Its the principle of the matter.

Hey, welcome to Lit, lol.

Can you please clarify for me who is the moderator of this very forum? And also how you knew they were online? Thanks!

Ahh, well then.
It's sad that authors are driven to leave the site for lack of communication from the site owners. It's sadder still that the attitude here is. Oh well another author who bucks at the mightly literotica system is seen off. Another 'drive by' defeated.
At what point will something constructive be done to improve all of the issues that are currently being raised by new authors, only to be told to shut up by the old guard, and ignored by the sited administration?
