I've sent several support tickets over the last 3 weeks, but I never get a reply. I have stories pending for over 4 weeks now and would like to know why. I know other members who have posted stories that get posted in days but mine seem to take weeks. Can someone Please help me understand what's wrong or what I can do to speed things up? @CindyTV

Many authors are worried about this - do a search of the author's forum to find several related threads. The best explanation seems to be that there's an issue (could be human or ICT) affecting the moderator's ability to process stories quickly enough, resulting in a backlog, but that some stories are getting through quickly because they are for high priority events (eg the Halloween competition) or because they require minimal processesing. The lack of communication probably suggests that they are overwhelmed. Obviously some open communication about this would be great right now.

I am over a month on two stories with another 7 pending. No response here either. You are not alone. I’m vetting other sites to publish on but I prefer Literotica when it’s working.

I’ve given up trying to publish my two stories that have been stuck in limbo since early September. I’ve tried everything—messaging Laurel, editing and resubmitting, deleting and resubmitting, waiting, complaining in forums, praying, cursing, etc.

Guys, see this thread on the AUthors Hangout - https://forum.literotica.com/thread...submitted-here.1641620/page-13#post-101693455

I posted some instructions here n whar seems to be working

I'd recommend two actions if your story has been sitting in Pending for more than 10-15 days *Laurel says 15 days but personally, I did this after 7 days. Most stories are processed and go thru in 1-3 days, so doing this after 7-10 days sounds appropriatel

(1) DELETE your pending story completely. I repeat, DELETE (not just resubmit)
(2) Submit it as a NEW Story (completely new, from scratch)
(3) Add a Note to Admin saying something like "Story was in Pending from (date) to (date). Was not processed. Deleted completely and resubmitted as a new story on (date)"

This seems to work for quite a few people

Just a suggestion: If you submitted as a Word attachment previously, instead, try copying and pasting the text into the Story submission form on Literotica

If you do this and your story ends up in Pending Hell again, also Report it as a bug on Literotica

  1. Use the online bug report form.
Include the exact URL if the story, the name of the story, your userid, the date you submitted the story, as well as details about your browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and any other relevant information that you think might help them track down the issue.

Litrotica should be saying something, not ignoring this. This reeks of incompetence or arrogance. There are many sites that would welcome authors from here. Being fat and dumb is not a business plan.

There is no ROI for Literotica when it comes to posting stories. Literotica's revenue is ad based (clicks) .There are currently enough stories to generate revenue. Also the CMS is 27+ years old. Think of chewing gum patching a muffler The seal doesn't hold, and it still leaks. That is pending purgatory. I have 2 stories currently in pending purgatory, one over 7 days the other at 5 days.

Same. My series (after half of it got published) has been stuck since 2025's September, and as I see, a lot of other people have also begun to experience the same issue since this time.

Btw, one of my edits got rejected after more than a month of waiting, saying that it was AI-generated. The problem is that, as I said, it wasn't a new story. It was an edit (a handful of words got changed for grammar, so it was 99% the same) of a story that was already accepted and published in early 2025.

Some people say they managed to get their story published by ruining the grammar, so the AI detector would think it's not AI-generated. But why the hell would I choose this? I don't want it to get published if it would mean I have to butcher the text.

Been waiting since February 3rd. Twice I resubmitted, and a few days later, the date was changed to a latter date, but remained pending. I hope my story can be published soon, I hate that everyone else is stuck with this too.

This situation has NOT improved. The issue I've been finding is that if you ask for an EDIT (in my latest case, simply removing a dash that I inadvertently put in the title of a multi-chapter story, that's stopping it from sitting properly in sequence) EVERYTHING STOPS! I submitted this particular EDIT, and a week later (while the request was still there) submitted another story. Both failed to move until I removed both and resubmitted my chapter - which was then published in just 2 days. I then resubmitted the EDIT, and it's been sitting, unresolved, for another week.

I've messaged Support and I've submitted fault reports via 'My Feedback'. Looking back over the history of 'My Feedback', the status of every message, going back YEARS, is 'Not Resolved'. I've NEVER, EVER had a reply to any message I send to 'Support', so I can assume that they're never looked at. The change I'm requesting is trivial - but it's NEVER going to be done while the focus is on creating questionable new features and not making the site run properly.

Can anybody suggest a way out of this 'noreply' hell?
