Sleeping in a Bra

One thing I’ll never understand is my wife’s insistence on wearing a bra to bed. She hates bras and is perpetually itchy from the straps digging into her back, but she won’t just toss it to the side for a little sleep. On top of all of that, she’s part of the itty bitty titty club (her words, not mine), so it’s not like she’s trying to contain giant boobs. She never really explains it, other than maybe she doesn’t want an emergency to happen and run out of the house bra-less.

So is this a common thing? Given the imprints left on her back from the straps I think if I were a woman I’d set them free asap.

If she has imprints all over her back she might have too tight of a bra on our needs to loosen the straps. My wife sleeps in sports bras or bras without underwire, but she has larger breasts. I know some women sleep braless while others like having their breasts contained. I think it is just about preference. But I would suggest she find a more comfortable bra to sleep in.

You’d think she’d know more about it than me, but she hates sports bras. She will exercise in them, but usually has to dislocate her shoulder to get out of them. Again she’s maybe an A cup so it’s not like she needs to contain them. Other than covering her perpetually hard nipples, I’m not sure what good it does.

Again, sounds like she might be getting stuff that is too small for her. I’m not an expert on bras, but I don’t think she’d need them that tight. If she is wearing them, I’d guess she’s fine with it, but based on your description something doesn’t seem right on the fit.

I have big boobies and use to sleep bra less. But since I got my nipples pierced I sleep with a bra. Sometimes it gets caught on things or gets sore so that’s why I wear it to bed.
She’s pretty closed off when it comes to discussing anything sexual related but I’m wondering if she doesn’t like her nipples rubbing on anything. She certainly doesn’t like me playing with them (ever).

That might be it. She might just not like anything rubbing on nipples and she is used to wearing a bra for the purpose.

The only thing I would hate more than sleeping in a bra is my husband questioning what I choose to sleep in. She likes it, for whatever reason. She’s a grown up, presumably. Leave it alone.
The relief sigh she gives when I unhook her bra and scratch her back just makes me wonder why she chooses to be uncomfortable. I’ve asked many times and she looks at me like it’s a crazy thought to sleep without one.

View attachment 2220357I ALWAYS wear a bra at night, and I've been doing it since I was 16. I'm 66 now. . Mr T attributes my non saggy boobs to the fact that I always wear a good supportive bra. I rarely go braless, except when we're naked together, or taking photos. I guess the key is having a bra that fits well and is comfortable. My advise for women who think their bras are uncomfortable? Get professionally fitted by someone who knows what they're doing, not the college student working in lingerie part time! And don't be afraid to actually Pay for a good bra. You'll rarely get a good comfortable one in the $12.99 bargain bin.
My favorite sleeping bra? A Soma Enbliss, size38C.. my normal size.. I don't size differently for sleeping.
