Yeah, but when you look at that, most of it's from the big blue cities in the lovely red states. Like, say , Atlanta. Or New Orleans. Pick a state, pick a city, it's generally the same inconvenient elephant in the room. Take that city out of the equation, and low and behold.....the stats are so much lower. Funny, that. Personally I think eastern Oregon has the right idea. Leave and join Idaho. Separation, a la Eastern Oregon divorcing Portland and the blue coast, is the best cure, and giving more power to the States, and less opportunity for Congress and the President to intervene in what should be State responsibilities.
There's also the issue of the fact that laws in Red states tend to be enforced. The violations of those laws are reported and compiled into statistics which can be reviewed and shared.
Meanwhile in Blue states, lawbreakers are allowed to rampage without law enforcement. Ergo, no reports, data compilation, or statistics.
And yet some people wonder why the crime stats are higher in Red states...
