And private individuals as well, as far as their personal lives and personal choices. Their idea of "Freedom" is rather alarmingly similar to the "Freedom" that the Taliban espouse for their country. (They will argue with absolute passion about how they "gave the Afghani people their freedom." Sound familiar?)
 
It's pretty obvious by now that both Trump and DeSantis are authoritarian scumbags; in fact, DeSantis may actually be worse than Trump (if that were possible.)
At least Trump tried to cover up his racist/homophobic attitudes, DeSantis doens't even pretend to not be racist.
 
If it were up to me, I'd shut WDW and associated operations and move whatever possible to CA again. They'd take a huge hit to revenue, but I've heard that attendance is way down due to admission prices. Not sure where the streaming and other TV business is based, but that's their cash cow. They could stand the loss of closing the parks for a while.
 
This is a nothing burger. Disney was given a super business climate and leg up over any and all competition (State Socialism) which it abused by getting into politics, especially the broadcast politics of the Progressive Left's woke agenda and now they're appalled to be treated just like any other business.

Funny that the Left's favored polity drive towards a level playing field seems to be aimed at everyone but the Left...

Another question needs to be directed to the OP...,

Why are you so supportive of Corporate Welfare while the little guy has to take out a second mortgage to attend a corporate amusement park celebrating children (more like exploiting children and extorting parents).
 
Now, I ask you, are we still outraged that DeSantis stuck up for the little guy and stuck up for the children while sticking it to the rich fat cat corporatist Big Guys?

What little guy & what kids? DeSantis tried to pass off 1 billion dollars onto taxpayers. That's the opposite of sticking up for the little guy.

Taxes are the point. Disney world straddles two counties, Lake and Orange, but is a unified entity. It should be clear to anyone that a split administration of the property wasn't going to work out for anyone, the associated counties, Disney, or the customers.
