It seems kinda silly to me that we're splitting hairs on 3% or so, when no matter how you split them its still less than half, and not really a good showing for any politician.

Ummm 3% is a lot of votes. Only 4 million plus. No idea why any would care about that. And in politics, 3% is a typical margin these days for a lot of races.
