To an extent I'm with Bailey on this one, with the exception being children raised by same sex couples and the jury is still out on that one. It is too recent a phenomena for there to be any reliable data. If a same sex couple want to form a legally binding relationship who am I to say they can't?

Where I think you're off base is confusing promiscuous behavior with what you term 'deviant' behavior. Promiscuous behavior is risky no matter what your sexual preference. Young males in particular tend to be promiscuous and that is even more so within the gay community. Females tend to be more selective with whom they fuck, not so with young men. Consequently STD's tend to be more prevalent within the gay (as opposed to lesbian) community.

SO, within the context of health care you do make a point, but is that a road you want to trod? Because once you open that Pandora's box there is no end to the list of behaviors that the government may want to impose a higher tax on.

Health insurance is not related to taxes. If they are more at risk, their premiums will reflect as such, but that is up their provider.

If their behavior is illegal, then the law will get involved.

Taxes aren't determined by risky behavior.

It has been batted around that smokers should pay a higher income tax, if you are injured in an automobile collision and were not wearing your seat belt, why should my taxes be used to pay your medical bills for your risky behaviour, as an example.

There's an interesting additional factoid that almost no one even considers.

Strong Government depends on population expansion. The larger the population, the more powerful government is and its ability to protect that population grows stronger.

Homosexuality defeats the population growth requirement and leads to a weaker government and population.

Add that to a higher social expense (higher DV rates, higher medical care needs, etc) and what you get is an even faster devolution of the government and weakening of the population.

I personally don't care who you choose to have sex with. I do care about overall security for the population and a strong government. An alternative lifestyle has its place in society. What it is not, and never should be, is mainstream because that would harm or eventually destroy the society of which is is part.
