Mormon Church comes out in support of same-sex marriage law​

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said Tuesday it supports proposed federal legislation to safeguard same-sex marriages. It's the church's latest show of support in the lead-up to an expected congressional vote Wednesday.

Holy shit! That’s amazing!

I never would have expected that, though it sounds like they’re only supporting it because they recognize it as a “religious freedom” issue. Still, so many religious groups can’t see past their own dogma enough to understand that they are asking for allowances that they don’t want to extend to others.
