Question.

The board Trumpettes simply c-a-n n-o-t be this stupid. They've got to be pulling our leg.

Every legal scholar I’ve seen, read or listened to were all in agreement that a court issued subpoena compelling release of all documents was the least intrusive method. The warrant issued was non specific, unlimited scope and no defined restrictions, in other words damn the 4th amendment it’s Trump. This DOJ is setting a perilous precedent. The 70 years I’ve been on this planet I’ve never seen anything so destructive to our constitutional rights.
45 did not comply with the subpoena. Hence the warrant

Or he lied to his lawyers and they didn't know he still had stuff.

First of all, most of us here can imagine just what subset of legal scholars it is that you listen to. Secondly, Trump already had the opportunity to do what you're suggesting here, and - as has been the case throughout his life when it's something he's legally compelled to do but doesn't want to - he ignored it.…
They handed over some of the documents
The FBI enforced a grand jury subpoena on June 3rd, they took 11 boxes of supposed classified material and left the rest under lock and key under video surveillance. The could have just as easily requested a second court ordered subpoena to finish the job, there was no threat to the FBI, there was no need for swat tactics, DOJ and the FBI were sending a message, strictly abuse of power and an extreme violation of the 4th amendment. The escalation of hatred and violence towards Trump from the left is going to take us to an ugly place, J F Kennedy’s place.

And 45 did not turn over all that was required else they wouldn't have needed to serve this warrant. They did not have a swat team...they had FBI officers in plain clothes and worked with the secret service to minimize disruption

Sorry that your guy is hated by many people.

The left is calling for justice, and the right is calling for blood. The escalation you see is on the right.

30 heavily armed agents, a gun boat with a machine gun, what’s next a horse head?

Lol....drama queen. They had a warrant...they executed the warrant. It was not extraordinary outside of keeping the press in the dark.

I am not worried!

There is still time to accuse trump of something else...What's left I admit I don't know but I have faith the Leftest Democrats will think of something!

I just hope the POPCORN and BEER supply holds out!

None of this is new or unprecedented.

Trump has always done business on the very edge of what’s legal.

If there’s a dollar bill hanging on the exact point between right and wrong he’ll grab it and let everyone else worry about judging it.

He’ll have the dollar in his pocket.

LMFAO Yah it was nothing extraordinary, how could democrats possibly know it never happens to them :D

What's been fun has been watching the talkies on the left starting to backtrack on the wisdom of the raid.

Little details are beginning to come out that are causing them some distress. Starting with the big one, the warrant and its execution were deeply flawed. Apparently attorney/client material was taken along with personal material, neither of which were specified in the warrant. Warrants require a great deal of specificity as to what is to be searched for and taken, specificity lacking in the warrant served. Several other details that may land this warrant before SCOTUS.

There was nothing in the safe the feds cracked. Almost as if it was known they were coming.

Trump has been atypically cheerful about this whole thing and that's beginning to worry some of the principals on the left. What if they didn't get anything that they wanted? That would be terribly embarrassing, right?

According to their own statements the dispute over what records remained goes back to June. If those records were so sensitive why did they wait until Aug. to pull this off? More importantly on the 91st day before the midterms. Remember, 90 is a very important number when it comes to politically sensitive actions such as this.

There is also a rumor, unsubstantiated so far, that ALL of the surveillance systems weren't turned off. That could be embarrassing as well.

If criminal charges are brought the underlying affidavit is unsealed. Does the applying parties want that out in the public domain? Time will tell.

If indeed Trump anticipated and in a manner orchestrated this it will be the political coup of the century, perhaps the millennia.

One more item, the Presidential Archive laws that some folks are claiming would prevent Trump from holding public office DON'T apply the the president(s) themselves but I see that some folks are still grasping at that straw.

If you break federal law, then it might happen to you. If you don't, then it won't. The FBI did not search his place because he was "cooperating" .....he took shit that didn't belong to him and didn't give it back.

45 isn't a victim here....no matter how much you want to make him out to be

How could Trump know that he declassified all the documents if the government planted them?

Lol, yeah, he's a genius. 🤣

Bit early to be cracking open the box wine, eh?

You aren't seeing the left "backtrack". You're seeing the right continue to move the goal posts when their theories run dry.

The FBI searched the Trump residence for items that the former President illegally retained after his position expired. They subpoenad the items and 45s lawyers lied about returning them all.

Spin it however you want...the information being released continues to support the above while the right and 45 continue to pivot to unsubstantiated claims and flat out lies in the media.

Or how much they try to victimize Trump.

Trump is innocent until proven guilty. Demands to see the affidavit that led to the warrant are a clear invasion of Trump’s privacy, and completely against our Constitutional values.
