Get your popcorn ready: Nearly 70% of Republicans say they want Biden impeached if the GOP retakes Congress after midterms

Neither will get what they want.

Why not? Impeachment is much easier than jail.

There would need to be legitimate grounds for impeaching Joe Biden.

This is where you are wrong.

The Democrats made it absolutely clear, the only things need to impeach POTUS is a house majority and the political rage over losing the WH to push it.

The end.

And in good lefty fashion they didn't ever stop for one second and think "Hey.... is it possible they might do the same thing to us when they take the House??" .... now that it's looking like a bad election cycle they are, but it's a bit late now.

The GOP should go on an impeachment spree and do so openly and directly because "Fuck you, we have the power now, ." and then go on a scorched earth legalfare against Democrats.

It's not the same. Congress had good actual grounds to impeach Trump. He was guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors. There are no such grounds to impeach Biden.

People are more concerned about their own lives. They don’t pay attention to partisan theatrics. The place to deal with Schumer, Pelosi, etc. is the ballot box. Strip them of their power. The GOP will win the House back this fall and there’s a good chance we get the Senate back too. Brandon is flailing, out of touch, and will be out of office in January, 2025 if not sooner.
Well that would be true if the people actually knew the people they elect. Pelosi s a crook, how do you make 124 million dollars in congress unless you are crooked and Schumer has scabs on his knees because he is too stupid to earn his millions oh yes and being from NY doesn't hurt.

Malfeasance in office is a crime.
No, it isn't, actually. Depends on how you're defining it. E.g., Biden has been accused on this board of failing to execute laws. But that is entirely within the scope of executive discretion. If a police chief announces his department will no longer make any arrests for drug-related offenses, he might lose his job, but nobody could accuse him of exceeding his authority, or of any other form of malfeasance of office.
Contempt of court is a crime.
Biden is not guilty of that.

They love her in her SF district and her husband is loaded. Drives loaded too.

Really? What did they impeach Trump on the first time?
Most Americans probably couldn’t answer that question. It was quickly forgotten. Partisan politics provide red meat for inside the Beltway types but the average voter pays more attention to things that affect their personal well being.

Quid pro quo is not something people have forgotten

You’re wasting your time. Unless you’re in a mood for it.

Impeachment can and should only be used for treasonous acts- like conspiring with an unfriendly foreign power, or attempting to overthrow a democratically elected government. (Both of which Trump was guilty of, by the way.) Not simply "I don't agree with this president's policies, so let's come up with some frivolous reason to impeach him." And not simply "Well, he slept with an intern, so lets impeach him." That never should have happened, You don't impeach presidents for being sleazy (if so, Trump would have old Slick Willy Clinton beat by a mile in that regard) It just doesn't work that way- no matter how much you may wish it to be so.

So yeah- obviously there is not a lot of love for Biden, but I repeat- NOTHING HE HAD DONE WARRENTS IMPEACHMENT UNDER THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. And all of you armchair constitutional scholars, who claim to love the constitution so much- read it and see for yourself.

Clinton was not impeached for using his position of power to have sex with a psychologically disturbed and vulnerable 22 year old student intern. He was impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice. Both federal crimes.

No, he was impeached because Starr was tasked with finding something to pin on him. The original matter of interest was Whitewater, but that came to nothing, so he had to settle for a sex thing. Anything more done by Clinton was pure defensive reaction, and not at all like Nixon's defensive reaction to Watergate.

You can blame Starr or you can look it up. Clinton committed federal offenses. He lied under oath to a Federal Grand Jury. He was also disbarred in his home state.

That is true, but what I said is also true, and more important.
