I give up. How can I delete PMs?

I haven’t found a way to delete individual ones, but to delete a thread, you can “leave conversation”. I think it’s at the top of the conversation thread.

See all your messages and you'll see the little box on the right. Check each one you want to select.

A blue box will show up at the bottom for you to make a choice from. It has tiny up n down arrows. Select then hit GO.

I’m on through my phone. Click the magnifying glass then click the drop down to “this thread”.

While in the thread, use the Search function at the top right. Click the drop down menu where it says Everywhere & choose This Thread.

I used to use advanced search to find when I last posted in a thread. I can't find a way to do this now. The advanced search doesn't allow you to select the thread and simple search only gives results of replies to you. Any ideas. I guess I'll cope without, but I find it annoying.

You can use the simple search... don't put anything in the Search box, change Everywhere to This Thread, and put your own username in the By: Member box at the bottom

Are our inboxes unlimited now? I was pretty close to full back in February and have to believe I'm over that mark now. I haven't looked to see if it just unloaded my oldest messages or if it's storing all of them? TYIA

Popularity has nothing to do with it. I'm a hoarder and almost never delete unless I have to. People here seem to have manners and reply when you send messages as long as your message doesn't give away that you are posting from prison and/or haven't ever spoken a woman publicly.

I just hate that the profiles changed. I miss occasionally hitting the lottery and finding that pic that wasn't intended for me.

Yes, I'm officially old now, as I still do not like this change.

Male and Female are reversed between the profile editor on the main site and the forums. I've just tried them back and forth. If you set your gender to male on the main site, it will show female here and vice versa.

Wait. People actually go to the main site? What's that all about?

Why wouldn’t this just be one big happy site? Here are stories, here are discussion boards, here are chat rooms and here is where we empty your bank account.

Change isn’t difficult. Our reaction to change can be. Getting used to it will be tricky. The site owners decided to upgrade this free, no-revenue-generating forum instead of deleting it altogether when it became too difficult to maintain and keep secure the older platform. Might be something to consider reframing for yourself.

Do you really think the owners run this out of the goodness of their hearts? Do you think this traffic doesn't create a revenue stream?

My gripe at the moment is having to wait to send PM. I guess you can't send more than one every two minutes? Sometimes I just write quick missives because that's all the time I have.
