Something tells me the cost of guns is going up.... chuckles.

I would expect a flurry of cases that go after all gun manufacturers.
It is going to be interesting....it is about time these companies start to feel the hurt they are causing as they are a direct part of all the gun violence in the USA.

Via lobbying
And they make the weapons that are being used in an epidemic of gun crimes in the USA.

It's a watershed moment as the article states....

Nope, you just wish it so. Ignorance is bliss. *chuckle*

How is a gun manufacturer responsible for what their customers do with the guns??

They aren't.

You and the others like you are just spiteful anti-Americans who hate civil rights.

Not sure it will have that much of an impact. This case had blatant advertising that was directed to a specific target group. Most manufacturers have not followed the advertising pathway of the bankrupted Remington company. Now....those companies manufacturing accessories...they could be hurting.

I know reading isn't your strong point....in the settlement Remington admits fault and owns up to it with the 73 million payment.

I know, this means nothing to you....and nothing to the other racist knuckhead Bellisaurus.

Guns don't give anyone freedom or civil rights... government does. So, gun regulation is just like any other regulation....it makes the USA a better place and most likely with a whole lot less killing and crime.

So rights aren't really rights, but permissions?

Meh. Manufacturers have been more careful in how they advertise their products since shortly after Sandy Hook. The settlement announced this week shows why that’s a prudent thing to do. Although my own choices in modern sporting rifles (naively referred to as “assault weapons” by gun control advocates) have never been influenced at all by advertising, I do like the original Colt AR-15 ads from the early 1960s.

Government is responsible to protect our freedoms and rights not give them, our rights are granted to us by our constitution which, by the way. is designed to restrict government intrusion not enhance it. Racism has nothing to do with the OP.

How do they advertise? I've never seen a TV ad or a billboard for a gun. Magazines only?

Your rights and freedoms are only as strong as your Democracy is.

The moment your democratic institutions fail, so to do those "enshrined rights" you all love to boast about.

The rights remain, even if enforcement of them is corrupted. Even you have rights now, Fuzz, despite them being at the whim of Fidel Castro's bastard son.

Our rights and freedoms are only as strong as the people who fight to keep them.

Literally means nothing, and there I'm not racist, you're just losing. ;)

That's all it means when you start crying "WACIST!!!" at totally unrelated shit.

Guns don't give anyone freedom or civil rights... government does.

Nope. They give freedom and are a civil right.

Government only infringes on those rights and provides very little if any freedom.

Your backwards views on this are a large part of what makes you an authoritarian and thus un-American.

So, gun regulation is just like any other regulation....it makes the USA a better place and most likely with a whole lot less killing and crime.

Nope, because it's forbidden by the Constitution, explicitly so.

And your feelings don't account for the facts. :D Wooops... better cry "WACIST!!" some more LOL

No, they are only as strong as your Democracy, which is a bit different than what just wrote.

Think about it. I'll give you some time to ponder.....

Meanwhile in reality, "democracy" is trying to strip us of our rights. :D

Would you see it differently if they were selling flamethrowers and grenade launchers and bazookas?

And here is the point confirmed...protect our rights, actualize our right, make sure we actually can receive our rights(the benefits of rights).

Just like equality, merit, legal justice, economic justice.....ones rights are meaningless if society does not agree on it....the ultimate settler of it is always the Government....which here in the USA(thank goodness) is done by the people, the citizens.(if we were talking about Putin's govt, then I would be on your side)

Just like currency.....it's meaningless unless we all agree.

Comrade WillJ confirms just how anti-American he really is.

Wrong willJ.... merit and rights have fuck all to do with society.

I have those things and society can't take them.

Equality is overrated, nobody actually wants it, everyone is out for their own supremacy and society is absolute dog shit at legal "justice"... you scum suckers can keep that shit.

Economic "justice"?? The fuck is that??

Sure they can....a dictator could or a monarchy.

Are you really this stupid?

The rights you describe where penned by who? When the Constitution was penned, did you have these rights actualized?

No....we were subjects of the King.

And what changed? The formation of the First Continental Congress, Washington as first President.....that is when your rights and mine and all American citizens (not subjects) where realized.
