Click bait. Newsom has been teasing this for months yet according to the article, a bill has not even been filed in the CA state legislature. And just because Dems control both chambers, it’s no sure thing this would pass. Dems in Northern counties, the Central Valley, the Inland Empire and Imperial Valley are not like Dems in LA and the Bay Area. Major sporting goods retailers like Bass Pro/Cabellas and Big 5 won’t stay silent either. More to the point, the TX law will probably no longer be needed when SCOTUS rules on Dobbs.

It may not pass the California legislature. I believe it will. And if it does, what then? SCOTUS has already ruled via Texas that that type of law is acceptable. It doesn't matter what they rule in Dobbs because it will not affect the "vigilante"law(for want of a better term) in Texas or California or how it's applied. Texas has opened a can of worms and the little fuckers are crawling out doing things they never considered. They aren't going to be able to put them back in either. That will be up to SCOTUS and so far they have ignored the impact of it.
