Unsure why it is taking almost 2 weeks for edit to published story

I submitted VY-EDITED on 01/27/2022 which has numerous edits recommended by Volunteer Editor Phil Anderer which I accepted as well as crucial corrections to story elements that were unrealistic or too improbable.

Is this normal for approving modified published story text and replacing the text on the published page(s)?

Pretty much. Edits are low priority for the site, and there would appear to be a larger than usual load of new stories coming through.

Is the story showing as "Pending"? That means it is at least in the queue (if it's showing as Draft, it means it's not been submitted yet).

Final story Slushy Bumpy Tow Truck Ride approved today. I guess not to bad for limited staff approving stories for publishing on site.

So once again, my stories have taken 11-13 days sitting in pending queue for review. I decided to resubmit with additional editor corrections today.

I would really appreciate if the submissions for VY could get reviewed and approved this week.
