That sounds very exciting! A thriving group is always a joy to be a part of

Thank you. The group is fun, but NOT thriving that much. That's why the reporter was there. It's for the local community weekly magazine. It seemed like a good way to get the word out and get new members. We need to get "younger" and get more women to join us (of course)...it's a start.

And, may I say that your posts have been much more positive and uplifting lately? it "read" like you were a little down before. it's great to see more uplifting posts from you!

Thank you I lost someone I loved in December, at the same time a new boss was mistreating me at work, so I was going through a lot at once and really struggling. I stood up to the boss (still some work to be done there), and I’m trying to focus on the things in my life that are in my control, and the people that want to be there. Yes, it spilled onto the boards a bit, but I’m coping with everything much better now, so hopefully everyone will forgive me that bad period and have some laughs with me!

Well it sounds like a great start! Everything starts small until it gains traction! The key ingredient is not to give up, and eventually the right people will find the group. The new year is a great time to be getting the word out, as people are often starting new hobbies and looking for something new to focus on! Good luck with it

Good on you for not taking as much crap from your boss. That takes courage.

As to your posting during your "bad period," there's nothing to forgive. Your bad mood posts were more positive than many posts during people's GOOD moods!
