.After 2020, Trump backers forged election docs in three states.

Groups of Republicans in three states signed their names to forged documents, pretended they were real, and sent them to government agencies.

It was on Dec. 14, 2020, when Wisconsin electors met in the state capitol for an official ceremony in which the state formally assigned its electors for the electoral college. There wasn't anything unusual about this: On the same day, every state did this, with Trump electors being assigned in states won by the GOP ticket, and Biden electors being assigned in states won by the Democratic ticket.

But as we discussed a couple of weeks ago, the process in the Badger State became a little messier: While the actual electors were being assigned inside the state capitol in Madison, a group of Wisconsin Republicans quietly held a separate, fake ceremony — in the same capitol, at the same time — to cast electoral votes for Trump, despite his defeat in the state.

They then proceeded to forge the official paperwork and sent it to, among others, the U.S. Senate and the U.S. Archivist, as if the materials were legitimate. They were not.

Politico reported:

As Trump's team pushed its discredited voter fraud narrative, the National Archives received forged certificates of ascertainment declaring him and then-Vice President Mike Pence the winners of both Michigan and Arizona and their electors after the 2020 election. Public records requests show the secretaries of state for those states sent those certificates to the Jan. 6 panel, along with correspondence between the National Archives and state officials about the documents.

First, were these efforts legal? Groups of Republicans in three states signed their names to forged documents, pretended they were real, and sent them to government agencies. I'm not an attorney and can't speak with any authority on whether this constituted fraud, but I'll be eager to learn what legal experts have to say about the schemes.

Second, did these GOP groups have any outside help? The materials out of Wisconsin and Michigan, for example, were practically identical, with matching formatting and fonts. Was this an amazing coincidence or was there some kind of behind-the-scenes coordination? If so, who played an organizing role?

And third, exactly how many states featured pro-Trump Republicans creating forged election materials? We previously knew of one; now we know of three.

Trump lost 25 states in 2020. How many of them included election opponents willing to send fake documents to government offices?

Tonight, according to the Rachel Madow show (showing proof), it's now at least five states--and the forgeries all use the same format/font/etc. So, a centralized voting fraud attempt. All of them trying to force in electors for "guess who?"

"The facts show that it was President Biden who won fair and square," said Trey Grayson, who used to run elections as the Republican secretary of state in Kentucky. "It wasn't rigged."

He's thinking about those Republican T-shirts that said, "F--- your feelings."

"And here we are looking at the 2020 election," Grayson said, "and we are the ones who are basing it on feelings, not on facts, not on the law."

We have assiduously been assured that there is no such thing as voter fraud
whenever that charge has been leveled at places like Philadelphia
or instances where vote totals were greater than voters,
but that's because it was Democrat fraud...

So, suck it.

Reap what ye sow.

That's not what you've been assured.

There has been no evidence of mass voter fraud, just a few cases in a few states that amount to a few dozen votes at best.

Not understanding the process will lead to believing that the process is fraudulent. Having more voters than votes doesn't immediately mean that there was mass voter fraud. Read the Maricopa county report....it's extensive and details many frequent and common claims that are incorrect

*chuckle*

They always resort to throwing in the "mass."

As if a close election requires anything more than the subtle nudge...

They always resort to throwing in the "mass."

As if a close election requires anything more than the subtle nudge...

It requires overcoming the difference in votes (i.e. math), which is never demonstrated to be the case.

So throwing in "mass" is to show that any fraud is rare and has never been shown to make any real difference in an election.

Can it happen? Sure....but that's what audits and legal challenges are for....in 2020, there were several confirming the result and refuting the claims.

The placid duck paddles most furiously below the water line...

Making claims of what you think is happening based on a process you believe you know fails under scrutiny by those who do know with evidence of that process

As stated earlier...fuck your feelings....you have no proof

Hahahaha, Dems always accuse others and then do what they accuse others of.

Yeah, republicans committed voter fraud, that's why they won! ;)

Izzy, this must be the first thread that you've opened this morning.

So, sip your coffee and don't be a dumbass...

There were not more votes than voters in Pennsylvania
By ALI SWENSON
December 29, 2020
CLAIM: There were 205,000 more votes than voters in the 2020 election in Pennsylvania.

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. This analysis is based on incomplete data, according to the Pennsylvania Department of State.

THE FACTS: A misleading claim about election results from a group of Republican state lawmakers in Pennsylvania is circulating widely on social media a week before Congress meets to reaffirm Joe Biden’s decisive presidential win

The claim emerged in a release from the Republican state Rep. Frank Ryan and several others on Monday.

“A comparison of official county election results to the total number of voters who voted on Nov. 3, 2020, as recorded by the Department of State shows that 6,962,607 total ballots were reported as being cast, while DoS/SURE system records indicate that only 6,760,230 total voters actually voted,” the release said.

The claim then spread to several right-wing websites and social media influencers, including Trump, whose tweet claiming Pennsylvania had 205,000 more votes than voters was retweeted 117,000 times.

However, these claims rely on incomplete data, according to Wanda Murren, communications director for the Pennsylvania Department of State, who called the lawmakers’ release “obvious misinformation.”

It was not immediately clear where the numbers cited in the release originated and Ryan did not respond to a call seeking comment on Tuesday. However, the apparent reference to SURE (Statewide Uniform Registry of Electors) in Pennsylvania points to state data on the voting history of registered voters, which some large counties have not finished uploading yet.

“These counties, which include Philadelphia, Allegheny, Butler and Cambria, would account for a significant number of voters,” Murren told The Associated Press in an emailed statement. “The numbers certified by the counties, not the uploading of voter histories into the SURE system, determines the ultimate certification of an election by the secretary.”
The numbers certified by Pennsylvania counties in November show that more than 6.9 million voters cast ballots in the 2020 election, electing Biden the winner by more than 80,000 votes.

Social media users in recent weeks have also made similar claims that there were more votes counted than registered voters in battleground states and key cities.

Those claims are easily debunked. In Pennsylvania, for example, there were nearly 7 million votes cast. The total number of registered voters in 2020 was just over 9 million.

“This obvious misinformation put forth by Rep. Ryan and others is the hallmark of so many of the claims made about this year’s presidential election,” Murren told the AP in an emailed statement. “When exposed to even the simplest examination, courts at every level have found these and similar conspiratorial claims to be wholly without basis

Hahahaha, Dems always accuse others and then do what they accuse others of.

Yeah, republicans committed voter fraud, that's why they won! ;)

There are multiple cases of voter fraud in many states, and they are not isolated to arepublican voters....however.....the claims that large numbers of votes have been changed by

- machine switching votes
- bussing in of voters from other states
- voting in multiple states
- vote harvesting
- voting by illegals

Etc....etc

Have never been substantiated with any actual evidence....just a bunch of speculation and extrapolation based on misinterpretation or flat out lies.

AJ’s wrong again, so he whines about the rules.

Copyright law? It’s plain to see, oh boy.

Trump said it was the most secure election in history right up until they counted the votes.

So, suck it.

Trump lost. :)

Non sequitur

He really does live in y'alls he'd rent free...

I didn't vote for him the last two times and I won't vote for him the next time
and pretty much the reason that he got elected, as I see it, was the antipathy
of the people just like yourself from the top down towards those people who
are merely a little bit more conservative and independent thinking than you.

But keep up the snark and the hate and you increase the chances of losing again.

President Biden is dead man walking and the Vice President, well, nobody
likes her short of the token historical moment. So, good luck with that. If Joe
was the best that you could do then you don't have much of a bench. You're
top candidates are too radical to win a national election; Mrs. Clinton clones.

Hilarious. Unintentionally, but still.. Biden/Harris won more votes than any candidate in history you ignorant dipshit.
