What if the Earth turned over?

Would North America, Europe and Asia be 'down under'?

Would it still be 'North' America?

Would Santa live at the South Pole?

Huh

Would we even know if it DID? If it does just come to jasonville and we will drink coffee and chat about it.

If the earth changed its axial tilt, we might all die.

The magnetic pole has swapped ends in geological time and is constantly moving.

If the earth did a 180-degree swap, we might not survive the move.

The magnetic polarity of the earth has changed many times over the eons, switching north and south and back. I doubt GPS would be affected and reprinting all the charts would be expensive. You'll be fine but migrating birds may have a problem

All magnetic compasses have to be adjusted for the current deviation between Magnetic North and True North. That is why, before GPS, ships used Gyro-compasses which were not affected by changes in the Earth's magnetic field which is not constant around the world. There are local variations too, which navigators had to consider as well as the position of magnetic North.

Honestly, I think it might be happening already.

Let’s not go crazy here, I don’t mean completely upside down but… why is my Winter slightly later every year? And my Summers as well? Why does the calendar feel like it’s shifting forward annually? Am I the only one noticing this?

Just this year, I love in California so I’m spoiled but, I did not need to turn the heat on until until a couple weeks ago. Normally that would start in November. Not fucking late in December. And normally, we like to watch all the tits come out in June like it’s absolutely neccesary. Nowadays - okay, our girls are dedicated so their gonna pull the tits out no matter what but - the temperature doesn’t start agreeing with that until it’s suddenly starving in late July and then stupid hot by September and on into October.

We have fucking Halloween in October. It’s supposed to be dark by 5pm. This year they didn’t do that until November.

What the fuck is going on?

It’s a conspiracy. The world is falling over sideways. It’s given up on us all. We’re done for.

(I’m serious though. I think it’s weird.)

Oh. So yer not just a mouth then?

It's... it happens back and forth? I'm just too short of a time span to recognize that properly, on my end?

Jeepers. That sounds rather sensible.

Um, can you take me for a walk sometime? (I'm doing a sub thing this week. Ignore it.)

mag to grid - get rid

grid to mag - add

My toilet isn't designed to flush counter-clockwise. :)

Not all plugholes and toilets in the Southern Hemisphere empty counter-clockwise. IF they are exactly the same as Northern Hemisphere ones, they should, but the design has more impact.

I just heard on some History Channel program that crustal shift has happened in the past and could happen again. And they weren't talking about tectonics. They evidently found that some parts of the earth shifted to other place.

I don't remember the program though.

Shifted? That's an understatement. In the geological past, the UK was near the equator.

But that took millions of years, and was attributed to tectonics. The shift the program was talking about took place almost instantly.

Nope... did they cover invermectin as well? To be fair if a rogue planet hits earth that would shift things around. There's a documentary called Melancholia - the trailer's good, the film was shite unless you love Wagner
