When atheists take down their Christmas trees...

When do atheists take down the pagan symbol specifically prohibited in the bible? Probably when they're sick of the fallen needles.

Baby jesus was born under a decorated pine tree.

Annie the stupid tranny needs to put the bottle down.:)

I just return it to its box.

It is very purdy. I don't see the holiday as all that religious, more of a custom...

I make up for any bad mojo or juju with copious amounts of josh and chai.

It's kind of fun to give presents and let's face it, what else are you going
to do between Thanksgiving and New Years?

Most of the athesists I know call their Christmas trees 'there's no fucking god bushes'. But they're athesists, not hypocrites. I don't deny athesists their right to celebreate Christmas, in fact, me and God prefer it.

(He actually prefers God and I) :)

Y'all accepted the pagan traditions of holly, trees, mistletoe, and having your biggest feast midwinter. It seems like a small compromise for everyone else to just go along with the name people have used for the past few hundred years.

After all, you did go along with calling your spring bash "Easter" :)

I have no beef with pagans or athesists...at least not to the degree they have with me. Unless they're hypocrites. There seem to be hypocrites across all denominations. :)

All the houses around have Christmas lights and trees. there are only two with a nativity scene - mine and the retired Catholic nuns two doors away.

There are many Father Christmas, a number of Homer Simpson, Reindeer galore, but any reference to Jesus' birth? No.

My God-niece played The Virgin Mary once in a living Nativity on Christmas eve. I have no idea where they got the camel. :)

Apparently Queen Charlotte introduced the idea to the British royal family in the 1700s and Queen Vic was all over it too. There's no decent flowers around that time of year, so a bit of foliage breaks the monotony - smells nice too.

Calling the decorated pine a Christmas tree is no more hypocritical than calling your rebirth celebration Easter. They're just the words we've grown up with in our culture, and is there really any point in changing them? They don't think about the Christ in Christmas any more than you think about the Eostre behind Easter.

I can't remember the last time I saw a nativity scene in the flesh.

One would think an athesist's mouth would burst into flame just by uttering the name Christ. Or at least the head might spin around backwards. :)

I've walked into churches without spontaneously combusting.
