It isn't surprising that Dems are unhappy with Biden. There is plenty to be unhappy about and that is just the way it is right now. And, Biden had achieved a whole lot inspite of the structural challenges he has inherited and also the changes in the govt and those forces that try to hinder him(Repubs mostly, and a party with polarized political views(moderates vs. progressives).
I think the Atlantic article gets this right...one can't make everyone happy. In fact, some unhappiness and disappointed actually shows he(Biden) is doing his job. And, it isn't worth listening to most extreme Republicans since they just want him out....so nothing they say is going to be reasonable or well though out, it will be partisan only.
