I believe there IS a difference, but if a teacher is guiding a discussion then it being "taught". Learning about Judaism was not on my second grade school curriculum. Conversely, religion is obviously being "discussed" AND "taught" in every private religious school.

Both CRT and Queer Theory (a different, but similar, branch of CT) are used to teach every subject in schools, even the district where I live. It's in math, social studies, biology, English, everything.

The so called 'white shaming' is absolutely vital to the accurate teaching of history and the propaganda that this country (and others) have told their youth for centuries. Only we have the resources available today to point at very specific pivot points where things could, and should have gone much differently.

Nobody is saying that white kids are guilty of a damn thing. White Privilege does in fact exist BUT that doesn't mean the people who enjoy it did a damn thing wrong. It exists for classes as well. The thing is that bigots, like the quoted poster think that pointing out various advantages that come with it makes you 'racist'. Until we get another term for 'I'm not an idiot' I'm willing to live with racism.

Its not about fee fees (whatever the hell that todler talk is) facts are facts and we very intentionally omit much of how things happened in this country and continues to happen in this country.
