not content to 'ban CRT' from your kids' schools (where it wasn't taught as a subject anyway) and continuing his war against anything DEI, the cunt's now signed into law prohibitions on public colleges that offer such educational degrees. He, right up there with trump, wants people to remain blissfully ignorant so they'll vote for him as he seeks a presidency sometime in the future. The ignorant are his base.
Ron DeSantis signed legislation Monday prohibiting degrees in critical race theory (CRT) and other majors, minors and programs that promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) from Florida's public colleges.

Why it matters:
DeSantis' signing of SB 266 and HB 931 marks the latest escalation in a yearslong effort to regulate how race and gender are addressed in educational institutions across the state.

Watch their rankings slide. This will make for excellent fodder for Dems, for years to come. 🙂

DeSantis is so adorable. Simply using demeaning legislation to insult women and minorities just isn't good enough anymore to win the hearts and minds of the Republican base. Trump is kicking your ass in the polls. You have to actually get out there and get your hands dirty. You've got to call people "rapists", steal some money, steal some documents, sexually assault some women. Unless you're willing to go the distance you're going to be nothing but another goober governor from a goober state.

Watch their rankings slide.
They already weren't anything special.
Mind you, we all know what deSantis is really after here, and it won't work. Only Trump can be Trump.

Every time I hear people say the word "Indoctrination" about public schools, I just want to grab them by the shoulders and shake them, and scream USE YOUR FUCKING HEAD!

Teaching factual history from the perspectives of the many different groups who whose experiences shaped this country is not "Indoctrination."

Teaching about the Holocaust, Executive Order 9066, Martin Luther King Jr, and slavery is not "Indoctrination."

Teaching people that racism and homophobia is wrong, and that you should respect people of other backgrounds is NOT FUCKING INDOCTRINATION.

Yet, ironically, those who whine about "indoctrination" want to do exactly that to our children. They want the schools to teach that racism IS okay, and maybe even a good thing. They want the schools to teach that either Executive Order 9066, slavery, and the Holocaust either didn't happen, or that the victims actually deserved it. They want schools to teach that the civil rights movement was tantamount to a communist terrorist movement and that Apartheid and Jim Crow are the ideal model society.

These hateful views, promoted by our own Babyboomer, Righguide, and the Hisarpy/Chobham/Tastysucktoy/etc. guy, are not only "indoctrination" but are views that have no place in a healthy and civilized society.

So bottom line, if you are the kind who passionately support that racist KKK wannabe troll DeSantis, then YOU have no place in a healthy and civilized society. If I were living in Florida right now, I would be full time dedicating myself to protesting, and organizing people against this shit.

This is just an extension of the "Don't say gay" and book banning mindset. Hard to believe in the 21st century we have people who still hustle this nonsense and people who still believe it.

Yes, and you know what IS indoctrination? Forcing the kids to recite the Pledge of Allegiance every day, starting when they're much too young to understand it or make up their minds about whether or not they agree with it.

like churches and banks: "get 'em when they're young, they're yours forever"

Butter's hope for Ph.D.'s in anti-white racism was tossed into the toilet in Florida. Being a Democrat is bone fides enough to establish one's fidelity to bigotry and racism.

I think people of decency and especially people of color should steer/advise their college bound children to avoid attending any college within the state of Florida - especially if they’re an athlete with scholarship offers elsewhere. A dip in competitiveness in all sports from golf to football at UCF to FSU will get the attention of even the most jaded Floridian who is not aware of the moves their governor and state government has been making.

That’s exactly what’s going to happen because all of the nation’s top athletes gravitate to colleges that offer degrees in CRT and DEI. 😂

Decertify FL High School diplomas and college degrees for transfer credits and hiring purposes outside of FL and for all Federal positions including military.

.

Lol, this is how you say you've never read the Constitution without saying you've never read the Constitution.

Try gouggling the Full Faith and Credit Clause. And then read the 14th Amendment (especially since it's been in the news lately about the national debt).

Then come back here and explain how your plan doesn't run afoul of those 2 things. (BTW, this argument of yours was tried in the gay marriage fiasco. It failed. So unless something has drastically changed since then, I think you're done.)

If I was a person of color or GLBT, I wouldn't have anything to do with any school- public or private, in the state of Florida.

If I was currently an athlete playing at a Florida college, and was a person of color, I would immediately hit the transfer portal; there is no sense in staying in a community where you are not wanted.

And, if I was a TEACHER at any school in Florida, I would either quit the profession, or seek another teaching position out of state.

Or better yet, have some balls and protest the Governor's horrific laws. Teach students of color that they have a history as part of this nation. Teach all students that yes, racism, slavery and discrimination did exist. Teach GLBT people that they should be valued and accepted as human beings. Make a case of it, stand up for what is right. Because even if you are fired for doing these things, most good hearted and just people living in other states would hire such teachers in a heartbeat.

Board, I have come to enjoy embarrassing these fools in my short time here, but I’ve gotta go to bed. So lemme give you the short take down even before I get his reply: if you aren’t a person of color then STFU. What I said doesn’t apply to you.
It DOES apply to someone like PaxNurgle who just explained what a decent person WOULD do in choosing where to get their education. And that’s why you reframed what I said to fit your narrative.
I did not call you and the likes of you simpleton by accident.
Simpleton!

I assume the law was passed to troll Dems and amuse Pubs more than improve education. And while the Dems are rageposting, maybe the Florida Pubs are quietly achieving something else much more important. Rage on.

Floriduh deserves having political hacks develop their curriculum. They voted for the hacks.

What could possibly go wrong?

You have an Alzheimer's Dementia Patient in the White House. And a VP that can't find the Border and is infamous for her Fluffing skills of Politicians for political gain!
