Three positives from your day

1. Still on holiday for a few more days while everyone is in that Sunday morning checking out rush.

2. Hotel suite sex

3. Resort lobby people watching and small talk with others. The Alabama / Georgia SEC title game in Atlanta this coming Saturday being the topic of conversations. Alabama had a heck of a win last night. For the record we are BullDawg fans but have a young Alabama alum that married into our family.

Got to see my mum

My football team won (only just)

The sun was shining - although it was freezing cold

Decorating the sanctuary for Advent
A return to live theater
A treasured friendship on the mend

1. 1+
2. 1+

...Is three, and they all do appear to be positive, and, yep that was today too.

Yayyyy I totally get this thread! :)

I'm thankful that Thanksgiving is truly over. At least for another year. Just not always easy making nice with family who chooses to not show much kindness. Life is too short for those who choose to be angry instead of making happiness. I'm just not an actor.

It will be nice being able to meet with my students again. It's been a few days.

I am also thankful today for chicken.

1. I didn't give up and be finished with life today.

:rose: Another staff member thanking me and blessing me for being understanding and a good support
:rose: Managed to defend my staff against a bully, less than an hour ago. When I responded the bully completely shut down and left everyone alone

Thank you! Usually I get too nervous to respond to bullies, so standing up to him shocked a few people! I’m glad it got him to leave my staff alone. We deal with enough at work, we don’t need to accept bullying as well!

Exactly
Be proud of yourself

  • I had blood samples drawn and I didn't pass out. I have an extreme phobia of hypodermic needles, and it has happened before.

  • I received a check in the mail from an online company that scammed me into signing up for a paid membership I did not want. I cancelled immediately, but they still sent me a check. I'm cashing it, and pizza tonight is totally on them!

  • I received an unexpected phone call from an old friend I haven't heard from in over 20 years. I don't know how he got my phone number, but I'm glad he did.
