so i took myself off on a rambling walk looking for my own geode



however, it was a really nice walk and i found traces of a gazillion fossils on the dry spots of the limestone rock stream-bed, listened to the feeder streamlets chattering away on their downhill journey to the ponds, watched the abundance of little fish darting from one spot to another as i approached, sized up a couple of potential xmas trees, and found a wild eastern box turtle(tortoise) half-covered in leaves. SO Pretty! Looked like it had japanese symbols all over it in deep yellow-gold. wasn't a geode, but still a fun find.

no, it's not my first time by a long shot, but they've been mega-delish, making me happy and I cannot stop this delicacy binge intrusion after making wok-based meals for nearly three weeks.

has me thinking about investing in a shawarma grill for home use and getting a gyro meat cone. just keep slicing stuff into a pita at random hours of the day when peckish. shit would be hell on my electric bill, tho'!
