Injunction Granted on Texas Abortion Law

Texas needs to call it "Fetal sanctuary" and tell the federal judge and government to pound sand. :)

Feds and laws don't matter to blue states, why should they matter to red ones??

Based on preliminary analysis I'm reading, this will likely be reversed at district level and then end up at the high court by the end of the year.
 
The Texas abortion law is basically another step toward developing a "Brownshirt" division of the Deplorable movement. Citizens rat on other citizens and are rewarded with a bounty in the court system. This approach is parallel with Trump's rally instructions to "beat the crap" out of protesters, adding that he would "pay the legal fees".

A Brownshirt-type paramilitary movement has obviously accompanied other fascist movements in history. Stoking division and pitting citizens against citizens is a fast path toward mass manipulation of the reptilian portion of the human brain. It's obvious in threads like this who supports Brownshirt tactics.

This law must be struck down, but if it is upheld by the Supreme Court, Deplorable fascism will take a huge step forward.

It will and for the very reason you first pointed out when the law was passed. The law is written in such a way as to require that it percolate up through the state court system. Should the Texas Supreme Court find it legal, then, and only then, can an individual with standing before the court go to the Federal system to seek relief.

I must admit I haven't read the law so have no opinion on how flawed it may or may not be. Maybe I should take the time to do so.

Actually, because a suit was filed, there is absolute reason for an injunction. This law absolutely puts undue burden on doctors and patients for a legal procedure. It should be ruled unconstitutional

The lawsuit was brought by the DOJ. The DOJ has no standing before the court, they cannot demonstrate how they were injured. The judge who issued the injunction undoubtedly knows this, but he's playing the game for brownie points regardless of the law. So your call re. district level is probably correct, after all SCOTUS has already refused to take it up for the very reason you mentioned previously.

Undoubtedly an individual with standing before the court will eventually file suit. And then the process will begin.

The DoJ is protecting precedent established by the high court. And the suit demonstrates violation of that precedent

My opinion Is based on the Texas law and logical deduction as well as court history and analysis by experts.
