Story pending for over a month, no PM response

I have one story pending in submission for over a month and one poem pending for just under a month. I have also sent a request for my currently uploaded story to be removed, about a similar length of time ago. I have PM'd Laurel twice and received no response. What is going on? Needless to say, this sort of experience is a huge turn off for a new user--not only can I not upload stuff, but I can't even take stuff down!

Nope, both definitely say Pending.

do you access the document at all? if you get into it, that'll shove the submission right to the back of the queue.

Sorry, not sure what you mean by 'get into it'. I uploaded them both as word documents.

Ah, word documents. Usually, they don't take any longer then copy & paste stories do. I have only submitted on story, a long, long, long time ago via a word doc as it included illustrations.

Also there are several contests running, but weeks, it should take weeks and I'm surprised Laurel hasn't gotten back to you.
